Oreo update messed up my phone

Ever since I received the Oreo update today my text message notification will only vibrate even if it's set to tone and vibration set to off.

That's a common Oreo issue if you are trying to use a custom sound. Try picking a stick sound that came with the phone and see if it's better.

I figured it out I had to go to the phone settings notification Advanced options in default notification has to be set to whatever tone you want I never had it set before I guess that's something new with the update. Thanks for the reply.

Oreo seems to be all about Notification and Permissions. Lots of posts all over various forums about issues with Notification sounds after the upgrade. I had a few as well.

Settings then Apps & Notifications select Messages then App Notifications then tap on Default then turn off Vibrate.
