voice mail notification

i need some help i cant figure for the life of me how to get the vm symbol off the notification bar its a vzw symbol o_o funny thing is i use gv for voicemail i tried customer service but they are morons

Even though you've setup call forwarding to forward calls to your Google Voice mailbox, every once in a while a call will slip through and will get transferred to your Verizon voicemail. Chances are, if you call your regular voicemail, you will have a new message waiting for you. Listen to it and the icon will disappear.

cory dont let the name fool you im actually a real fart smeller lol and ive tried that i also tried hitting 7 in the system but thats not working either ... got any other ideas?

I thought for sure that would be it. If you can't clear it by swyping down the notification panel and hitting clear, then I don't know what else to tell you :/

ok im screwed went into vzw and they cant figure it out and cory cant help either what do i do now lol
