Wifi issues - not able to see networks

I've been having a reoccurring issue with wifi connectivity on my Droid. I can connect to wifi at home, work, public networks, etc., without issue. Things will be great for a few months. Then suddenly (I don't change/install anything) the phone stops being able to find networks, even ones that it remembers. I try to forget the networks, add them manually, turn the radio on and off. Nothing has any effect.

The only thing that I've found fixes it is if I install/reinstall a ROM, and don't restore settings. If there was a solution that didn't result in me having to reinstall/reset everything, that would be awesome. Anybody have an idea?

FYI I'm using Peter Alphonse's GPA latest (not nightly) release, or Bugless Beast.

gotta be a bug in your Bugless ROM ;p

One of us is having the same issue. This is on a stock, non-rooted phone. The other, rooted phone seems to be doing fine.
