Thats what I was originally thinking, that the update was carrier based. Using my nexus with Verizon and this all started once I put the Verizon sim in the phone. I now have reset the phone and low and behold the update showed up, downloaded and installed and now am on build: K, but if the original build D, is more suitable for Verizon, then I would rather be on that build.

Isn't there a way to just flash the build without doing a factory reset? Don't you just flash the system image, radio, and recovery?

I booted phone first time with sim out of it just to get the update so I can then unlock bootloader and root. Updated just fine and then rebooted.

What region are you? I'm on MDA89D. Sooo, which is newer?

Probably build ending in M. Man I checked this morning and it was only at the second update down. Now there are 4 factory images. I'm still on MDA89D. I believe these are security updates though.
