Weird movement when unlocking wiht fingerprint scanner

I suddenly noticed this new strange movement on the screen when unlocking with fingerprint scanner. If an app or settings is open it moves down and then back up again, if it's the home screen the top and bottom turns dark for a second before returning to normal.
Not sure if it's specific to my Nexus 6P or if this is an android issue.
Anyone know about this and if there is a solution?

Sometimes mine flickers when unlocking with finger print. A reboot solves. Did you try rebooting?

I did and it did not help.

Tried to replicate this on mine, but it didn't happen. You're not moving your finger over the scanner to partly activate the pull-down function?

I was thinking that might be the issue but I've tried both keeping my finger as still as possible and also turning off the fingerprint swipe function. Still the same result.
