I just went to the widget section and dragged it out the same way you would an app.

Software is apparently up to date. I'll wait to see what Mike says regarding the phone itself. Then I'll try the ROM thing.

Sorry to say, but if it is a fake, it may not have the hardware capability to run the ROM, and you might kill the phone entirely.

If it is a fake, I'm returning the device as is.

Well, give it a few hours or another day to hear some other N3 owners weigh in with their opinions. Msunderstood's screen shots would seem to indicate there could be an issue. Good luck.

Thank you. @-@

It's really bugging me now because I had a problem with T-Mobile before as well which is why I resorted to buying one online. I don't want to pressure anyone, but I could really use the help!

It looks like from your baseband version that this is an International version running an Exynos processor. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I have no experience with the International version but I found this info to confirm it.

http://www.galaxynote3update.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3-android-software-update-repository/

Hopefully, someone with much more experience than I can help. Sorry you've had to deal with this, but for some reason, you are missing those files that control the S Pen. I have no idea why since the S Pen is the core of the Note series. If I find any more info, I'll post it here for you.

I fear you may have a fake, or at the least, someone has messed with the software and decided to unload it on eBay. All is not lost if you can flash a legitimate ROM, if you are up for that challenge.

As a side note, I also noticed the color is off on your pictures. It may be just me but the colored band at the top of the screen looks more green to me than mine. Just an observation.

Thank you very much for the research!

As I look up information on how to spot a fake from a real one, I'm running into some red flags. My spen, for example, does not have a pressable button. I also tried connecting it to kies via usb but the program wouldnt detect it. It does work via wifi though.

I need to run some more tests but I can't find an app to measure this phone's specs. Can someone point me to one? If I can compare it to what its specs are supposed to be ill have a much more accurate assessment.

And as a side note, if someone with a note 3 can run said program and show me screen shots with their results. ><

There's a way to see how much storage is on your phone (hopefully).

Download an app called Android Terminal Emulator from the play store.

In the terminal, type the following:

cat /proc/partitions

(With a space after "cat".)

Look for the big number, usually after
mmcblk0

This will tell you if you at least have the internal storage you should have, in a number reflecting megabytes, I think. To get out of the terminal, type exit at the prompt.

msndrstood, this is what I have:

mrsmumbles, I'm not too certain what the numbers imply so I've attached a screenshot :

@msndrstood. Could I perhaps get you to try this: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...apps/details?id=com.specdevice&token=FRd-KFPZ

This is a screenshot of my results:

The resolution seems off to me.

I could be very wrong, and I hope I am, in which case I hope someone will tell me. According to those results in the terminal app, your internal storage is only about 4 gigs, which corresponds to budget lower midrange phones. :-/

I have to dig now but I think all of the Note 3's are 1080p. It's not looking good. I don't like the Chinese digital signature.

I've come to a conclusion. The phone is fake. Based off of everything prior, my phone's specs are sub par

I'll be contacting the seller for a refund. If the seller doesn't cooperate I'll contact eBay. Thanks to everyone who has helped so far. You've been a great help!. :)

If you have any emails from the seller stating any details I would let eBay know that as well. Let us know how it turns out. Good luck! Sorry that this happened to you, hopefully eBay will make it right.

If it is a fake, I will return it. It was sold to me as a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and I paid for it as one.

Can anyone with a white version comment on the two sensors next to the earpiece? On mine, they are very close to being the same size.on this pic it appears that the size difference is large.

Edit-above fyi was before all of the processor etc specs were posted which are better info

I don't have the international version.... Can anyone confirm that it is supposed to say "about devices?" Mine says "about phone." devices vs device?
