Has anyone else heard this? I heard South Texas may be one of the markets. Any AT&T core store employees know anything?

I was told this by two different AT&T corporate store staff (Houston) on two different days. I just had to double check to make sure they told me correctly. I turned in my S2 tonight (day 29) and will get the Skyrocket on Sunday. :) I also heard Target's price for the S2 will be $99, so I wonder if AT&T might be dropping their price on the S2.

I was at AT&T in Boston last night, and one rep told me it will cost $200. Not sure if she was correct or not, and she said that GS2 will probably stay at the same price for now.

I heard the same thing earlier today from a Target employee. Supposedly tomorrow, at mobile kiosks only.

At my local ATT store the rep said that it would be $150 here, just north of San Francisco.

I've heard that pricing was initially set to $150 but changed to $250 at 10AM as previous price was incorrect.

So it was an error..?

Is Walmart's $200 the best price right now then? Do they have it in stores or just online?

I'm seeing $149 here.
And it's not a cached price because this webpage wasn't working for me last night (chrome).

My zip is 78664, is that the one you tried?

30 more minutes and my local store opens up. If they don't have it $149 then I'll order online.
Kind of surprised the east coast people haven't checked in yet. Their stores should already be open.

I heard they are offering 150 in selected LTE markets where they want to get LTE off the ground and did not have the sgsII at launch in stores. DFW is 250 market and San Antonio is a 150 market. I live in DFW but am in San Antonio today (sisters bday) and will go and try to get a SR for 150 when the stores open at noon.

It took 15 minutes before someone picked up the phone at my local store.
He refused to get any paperwork started over the phone. Says they aren't allowed to do that.
So I have to drive down there on my lunch hour (I work from home) and try to get in & out in 15 minutes.

But he did confirm it's $149 in store and they had some in stock.

I wonder of you can buy one in a 150 market if you go to the store but live in a 250 market. Also how long is this special going on and can you put this new sim in a non lte phone and get voice/ data?

I forgot to ask about the SIM. But it wouldn't surprise me if you need a new SIM. Someone else said the website order system said they would need a new SIM.

The corporate AT&T salesperson I spoke to said she didn't know how long the $149 sale would last. She did say it was not on sale in any other market. And she also said it was not a one-day sale, but it was not lasting long.

Also, there are no issues with upgrading my phone to the $149 Skyrocket sale price even though I have grandfathered unlimited data plan. She was very confident about that.

^^ You do need a new SIM. The data doesn't work if you use a regular SIM from AT&T, but phone calls work. In order to get data on a LTE phone you need an LTE SIM.

And the LTE SIM put into a HSPA+ phone will result in HSPA+ speeds, and it will work. Just not at LTE speeds.

Anybody know if Best Buys in launch areas are doing $150?
