Hi, My boss has a Samsung Galaxy S5 and somehow his daughters removed his Messages app and replaced it with Hangouts.

He does not like this Hangouts app that his daughter downloaded.
I didn't even know you can delete an original app.
Can someone PLEASE help me?

Thank you

It won't be deleted, and possibly not even disabled. It sounds like the daughter just made Hangouts the default messaging app. Do this to restore it:

Settings > Default Applications

There you should see Hangouts listed underneath "Messages". Tap that, then change it back to "Messages".

Now all the text messages will show in the messaging app. If it was disabled (you can't find "messages" in your app drawer), ironass' instructions will help you restore it so you can see it. Then just move the app back to the home screen.

Last answer, one prior to this, had it right. Look in settings, application, application manager. Under default applications messaging just remove Hangouts his instructions are spot on
