Galaxy S6 says it is overheated and will not charge, even when stone cold

My S6 says it is overheated and it will no longer charge or turn on, plugged in or not. This started after using the video camera, but I don't think that is the cause. It seems that the temperature sensor is reading temperature incorrectly.

Any one seen this before? My phone is just short of bricked.

Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Leave it plugged into a wall outlet overnight, undisturbed. Then try powering on by pressing and holding the Power button for at least 15-20 seconds. Also, try a different charging cable/plug.

Have you been able to turn it on now? Leave it off for awhile longer then try turning it on. You may then want to turn it back off (if it turns on) then charge it while powered off.
