I have 2 questions. I have a Sprint S6 that is unlocked running on T-Mobile. Do is need to stick to Sprint firmware or use T-Mobile firmware? Also, my APNs are greyed out. Can't add or change them. As such can't receive MMS. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

1 You have to stick to what ever firmware the device was manufactured for. So if the model number of your unit is for a Sprint version, then it has to follow that path of firmware updates. If you try to load TMo firmware on a Sprint handset you could end up bricking it.
2 Its possible Sprint has locked that feature out to prevent just what your doing. Verizon has been known to do that and lock out mms functionality when unlocked on other carriers.

For BEST performance get a carrier branded unit.

Thanks for the reply. I had never had a unlocked phone. Kinda wish I had waited & found a T-Mobile unit.

Unlocked phones are hit and miss.
You may also be missing some of TMO LTE bands. But thats another topic entirely.
