1.6 aperture for BOTH rear cameras

That's true, but I would never purchase a phone based on what can be fixed or improved in updates. I buy it with the idea that it is what it is and that it will never be anything other than that. There's less disappointment that way.
I'm so so. Sometimes a simple update is all its needed to get things working or be more efficient. As dpham stated earlier, some companies do commit to their updates to get it working.

I guess I don't trust any company when it makes promises about what they will deliver after you make the purchase, including Apple. On their professional video editing software they kept promising features that they never delivered on so my experience is the polar opposite of yours.
That sucks, didn't know about that.

And at the same time... Apple made a big deal out of portrait mode when the iPhone 7 Plus was released. Not adding it would be grounds for a return, since this isn't some minor feature

It was a work in progress. Not as good as it is now for sure.

But current implementation is better than my note 8.
Funny how Apple users say apple implement things perfectly when it's released. Funnier ... how wrong they are.

Yes, this would put Apple' in trouble for not committed to their words

It is. I just wanna see which is better. And how much difference it is between the branded and not branded
Ah ok. Well it would be interesting but with similar hardware and software, there shouldn't be much difference
