Because of the size and amount of Droids the update rolls out in batches. A couple of thousand a night. Nobody knows when they or you will get it. It just shows up over night.

Just got off phone with VZW tech support. They know nothing about an OTA update, and also said the 22nd is rumor.

Edit: Just hung up with Motorola, and they have no knowledge of OTA update, and said that they are still working on 2.1. Release date is unknown.
WTF? Where did this OTA come from?

tech support will never no when an update is coming they will find out from online forums like here.

I'm not talking about 2.1. Just the OTA that people say is out now. Tech said that they would know of a MR if there was one. Their test phones are showing ESD56, as they put me on hold to check them.
Motorola also said no knowledge of update that is out now.
