If you think it about it, I think it all depends on when the Nexus One is hitting Verizon. Until then there is no reason to rush it out any sooner since no other device on the network has 2.1.

Motorola has posted that there will be an official announcement as soon as timing for 2.1 is available. Wait for it.

As good as Verizon has always been to me, I can't tell you how much BS some of their sales reps had fed me over the years. They remind me of politicians.

Most of the time if you read up on the forums you will a ton more then the reps.
