Updates start rolling out on Mondays so that would be correct as there are no more Mondays in January.

Rooting is really easy and going back to stock (Unroot) is also easy.

I have seen that rooting is easy, but how does one unroot? Also, if you happen to brick your Droid, is it as easy as a BB to bring it back? (Aka wipe clean and reload the backup file?).

Well, I know a guy... in fact my next door neighbor's cousin knows a guy who's a friend of a guy who knows the brother of the CEO of Verizon -- So, you can trust that I alone have inside and reliable information.

I mean, not everyone is as a cousin of a guy whose friend knows the CEO's brother AND lives next door to this guy. Now, I don't want to name any names.... Because we all know that Verizon police are trolling these forums just looking for any drops of names so they can torture anyone who dares to defy the ironhanded secrecy of Verizon's super-secret OS release dates.

Loss of job? How 'bout loss of life. I heard of a guy (my kid's teacher's uncle's neighbor's dog walker) who worked for Verizon - well, he once told someone that he was unsure of when a Blackberry OS update release was being done. Now, keep in mind - he didn't even know when. But he just told a buddy that he didn't know when. Anyhow, they still haven't found his body.

So, remember, when "they" bust down your door for reading this and demand an accurate and full accounting of just how you got this information... DO NOT, under any circumstances reveal that some anonymous forum post mentioned this information... or, heads will roll.

So, they shall remain nameless -- Anyhow, my neighbors yadda-yadda-yadda said they have no idea when it'll be released.

a guy i work with jus got a eris. the salesman told him that 2.1 was coming to it next week. used it as a total selling tool. i had to tell him no it wasnt, he was pretty upset. i said the droid doesnt even have it yet. he said the salesman told me tho.....lol
