1080 Vs 720

I don't get why people say the AMOLED is dim. My GN2 gets plenty bright. I think one reason it may not get as bright as some may wish is because AMOLED uses more power to produce white, so I bet that AMOLED screens(firmware) don't allow as much juice as lcd screens, keeping it from reaching it's full potential

Im pretty sure the gs3 was dimmed down a lot compared to the gs2.. not sure about the gs4 or gn2

Having compared a co-workers GS4 and my One, I can say the blacks on the GS4 are better than the One, but the whites on the One are better than the GS4. Nothing else was as noticable as that. I didn't try them in direct sunlight however.

I just held my phone up to my husband's SG3 & I not only noticed a big difference in favour of the One, but my husband did as well.
The SG3 screen is why I decided to wait upgrading, & hold out for the One. 468 ppi over 300+ ppi. MAJOR difference to me.

Actually think 720 may be better for older eyes.

Can't see the improved resolution of 1080 and 1080 makes all the text smaller and harder to read. :-(

With regard to resolution... Does anybody know if any of these 1080 screens is 1080 progressive? Depending on the source material I'd rather watch a movie in 720p on a native 720p screen than watch 1080 interlaced. Maybe this distinction is silly on such a small screen? I don't know. It's certainly a noticeable difference everywhere else.

at this screen size, proper color gamut and white point have more effect on image quality than resolution
