The smaller retailers seem to be more open to telling more info. I went to one and they were just in the dark as us but did say it's supposed to come out tomorrow. They seemed unsure but hoping also.

They said the main stores aren't supposed to talk about it. I gave them my number but if it really does come out tomorrow I will go to the main corporate store.

I'm just going to take the chance and go tomorrow morning before they open. The store is only 2.5 miles from work and if they won't sell, then that's less time away from work, otherwise, I'll be getting the Galaxy Nexus, so it's really an okay situation either way for me.

They wouldn't if they felt the call center was leaking like a siv. Remember, phone sales doesn't have to do anything. They're trained... all they have to know is that the thing is available in their odering system and the pricing, etc.

Physical stores have to prepare inventory, etc. They are more likely to know in advance than the telephone area.

Assuming you are who you say you are... that pretty much seals the deal on no release tomorrow. Regardless if they weren't going to promote the phone, that guy would know something.

I just called Five Verizon stores in the Cincinnati, OH area and the first four said they didn't know when it was being released and the fifth said tomorrow so I quickly setup a 9am appointment with them to come in and get the phone.

Not true at all. There were rumors out the door for 4 years regarding the release of the iPhone. It was officially announced on January 11, and training followed that with a February 11 release date that we all knew about.

Not according to a lady with whom I spoke at Verizon a few weeks ago. I know most Verizon CSRs have no clue, including you, but she wouldn't just tell me that during our very pleasant conversation.

I asked her if they would have them for sale tomorrow and she said they would and wanted to make an appointment. Will find out tomorrow I guess.

And you won't be notified until late tonight or tomorrow. You company does not value your intellectual capacity, nor does it care if you are informed. Sad, really. I like Verizon, but boy are they arrogant.

Don't believe the hype! I just called Verizon Wireless in Boston. I asked if it would be released tomorrow and they said that, "we have no release date at this time".

I think this phone is going to get a lot more attention than verizon thinks. More and more people are being reported as frustrated and tired of all the nexus questions. I dont think our 1% of users on this site could generate the kind of frustration being seen at the verizon locations.
