Sprint Navigation Lite?

Anyone else have Sprint Navigation Lite after the update? I used Pojoman's RUU to update from .3 to .6.

After reset still have no option to add the new widgets. ringer and profile. Have not tested the flah video. Also app brain didn't remember what I had on the phone.

Coming here from a Palm device I find it a bit disorienting as it seems that the terms: reset, reboot, soft reset, hard reset, factory reset all seem to be used interchangebly. The only two things I know is turning the phone power off/on which would be a "soft reset" in Palm terms and in Settings>SD card is the "Factory reset" which, I think, would be like a hard reset on a Palm except a hard reset on a Palm would leave the phone registered to you and, again in a Palm, a Factory reset would erase your phone number and everything.

I come from a palm device as well, where I frequently did a reset / reboot to fix problems. I could not figure it out for this phone, but davidswank answered the question for me above. I feel much better now.

Sorry.. Do this instead. Apparently it's different on the EVO than the X:

1. Turn the power off.
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Press and release the Power button
4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Press and release the Power button
7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

A little late but you must make sure you sync app brain on your phone so that appbrain.com has the apps.

my launcher bar has stayed the same with 2.2....was it supposed to change to the 3 box bar? just so we are clear its the phn app and add bar im talking about. pls tell me im crazy

I didn't see a reinstall either. Factory Reset ended up giving me a new list on the left side. I just used the old list as a reference.

One question regarding appbrain and hard reset. Right now, on appbrain, it shows all the apps that are installed, and the option is to cancel install. If I do the reset, how will the apps be listed on appbrain? (Will it give me the option to install?)

I ran into that at first, if you notice in app brain a new list appears "Apps on the HTC EVO 4G" This is the apps that you currently sync with. to add your others, select them and add them to the "Apps on the HTC EVO 4G" folder.

then run your appbrain sync. your apps should all be there and wnat to be installed.

Yes, this will erase all data that you have entered into the phone and applications that you have installed after purchase. Your number, WILL NOT be erased. the hard reset is the reset to factory settings, just as you received it from the store. but now with 2.2 instead of 2.1.

car charger unmounts sd and google listen doesnt work

i have done the full reset and reinstalled all apps and still same problem. sd umounts when connected to car charger and google listen keeps asking to log into my google account. worked fine in 2.1 and now 2.2 everything stops working. any new work arounds or fixes.

There was an early post, that if your "Choose connection type" is set to "disk drive" that it will unmount your SD. Check your "connect to settings"
Are you prompted to keep username pw and stay logged in? Are you using the native gmail app or a 3rd party?

sorry, I have not experienced either of those issues. I just throwing some ideas out there.
is your Car dock set to Auto-Launch?
did you format your SD after hard reset. if not might try to copy your SD to you PC then format you SD and re-load your stuff.

Different Pandora Error

I updated to froyo last week and been having problems with Pandora. I did the restore and re-added all my apps. The problem is when I'm listening to Pandora, the song will play for about a minute and then cut for about 30 seconds and skips to the next song. This is happening on every thing I listen to on Pandora. I did update the Pandora app to 1.4 yesterday, but that isn't fixing my problem. The audio quality is fine, it just skips. My phone is not rooted either. Any ideas?

have you tried using WiFi and 3G? or does it only happen with one or the other or both?

Does it happen when Pandora is the active app or while running as a service in the background?

What other services do you have running?

I am currently testing my Pandora via Wifi, The only additional services i have running are Security guarder and theft aware.
