2-3 weeks to repair loose charge port?!?

My charge port on my tablet is loose and it won't charge unless I hold the charger. I started the process of sending it in for repair, and I was told they'd have it for 2-3 weeks. This seems like an awfully long time. I might be wrong, but it seems like a pretty simple fix. I really would rather not be without my tablet for that long.

It should be a simple fix, but if they're shipping it somewhere out of town for repair, that return estimate could account for transit times (or current workload on the service center). Or maybe they don't have the part available...

My guess is it's just replacing the port, which if they have the part shouldn't take too long.

You could try local shop who does phones or tablets.... But again the time factor may be a parts availability issue....

Are you sure that the port is the issue? Because it could just be a bad cable.

Yeah, its the port. I have tried with multiple cables (and the cables work fine on other devices).
