3 Clicks, and I'm on 4.0.4

Been trying this on and off for a few hours. Wasn't working and I was about to give up, but on my last attempt I repeatedly mashed the "check now" button instead of just pressing it once like the previous attempts, AND IT WORKED! Pressed it a bunch of times like I was mad at it when it said last check was 12/31/1969. Maybe give this a shot if it didn't work for you earlier.

Holy Crap it actually did work! After trying over the past 6 or 7 hours, I don't know how many times, it finally just started downloading! Awesome! For those who haven't gotten it yet, just keep trying. I was ready to give up and it finally got pushed. I was on wifi the whole time and just would try it repeatedly on and off over the past hours repeating the process each time it didn't work.

About 15 times and finally got it. It seems like it's working for everyone so congrats to all. Hopefully our nexi finally work like they should and solves all my gray bar issues.

PERSISTANCE!

I gotta say, I tried it again after reading your post. This time determined. It actually worked around the 11th try.

Don't give up people! Persistence WILL get you the update.

I think it's coincidence. I just received the update and did nothing but hit the check now button. No data clears on framework, nothing.

Checked for update before doing this, nothing. After using this method I had the update on the first try. Loving the update, I can't type faster then the keyboard anymore.

Hot damn. Took a few bajillion tries (somewhere along the lines of doing it every so often for an hour while bumming it around the house), but I'm installing it now. Actually got it almost as soon as I turned wifi off, ironically. Thanks!

Unbelievable! I usually lie down with my 2 year old to put him to sleep. During the time it takes for him to knock out, I often tinker around with my phone. I came across this method on AC and tried several times. Finally, I switched over to WiFi but it still no success. He fell asleep, as did I but then I woke up and went downstairs to my office to set the phone up on the charger... Game of Thrones is on and so I thought, give it one last try before calling quits and voila!!!!! It's installing right now.

Btw, I've been a member of AC since my first Droid (Eris) and I too, wouldn't lie about it. Please believe all the others who have said they're phone pulled down the update.... It's rebooting now :D:D:D

Oh... yeah, forgot to mention... posting live and direct on the East Coast (Elizabeth, NJ):):)

Yeah...I'm now convinced...pure coincidence.
I decided to give it another try just for S&G, but decide to hit "Check Now" one more time BEFORE clearing and force closing framework, and guess what?

Meanwhile, I've been trying the method here in this post on my wife's phone for the past 15 minutes to no avail.

Purely coincidence IMO.

Took about 20 attempts for me, but eventually this did work. Happily rocking 4.04 now.

I can confirm this does work:cool:

I went from Team Bamf 1.25, to 4.0.1 (returning phone for swap, Absolutly terrible call muting, multiple times a day. I thought bamf (awsome ROM, with 4.0.4 leaked radios) was bad, but rolled back and phone was all but usable. will have to see. I booted the phone up this morning on 4.0.1, I was immediatly asked to upgrade (tried to force it using WAY old OS, but the only update I got was 4.0.2, hit the button 20 some times today, no luck.

I followed the directions, it did not work first time, followed the directions again, nothing. Third time was the charm. Sucessfully updated to 4.0.4 IMM76K 3.0.8-gda6252b kernel. Does anyone know if the hardware revision 10 is actually better? not trying to steal the thread.
