4.1.2 On GS3 On Sprint

I will admit that I watched the YouTube videos on Premium Suite, it seems pretty cool, but I could honestly care less about getting it or not. The only thing I would like is the split screen for aps like the Note 2, but I can live without it.

I did not think it was the Billard412's one click that did it until I saw the post from Mouseglider. I can say I am still not sure. If you decide to use this method, just make sure you enable everything on your phone first. I have not of anyone else having an issue with this. I can not prove that it was the method that messed up my phone, but I don't know what else it could have been.

I don't know why you had a problem - I do know that all phones are not perfectly identical - example; my wife's current phone and my old phone both rooted and tweaked in the same exact way (original Sprint Samsung Epic 4G with keyboard) - hers did not like the Lexar 32gb Class 10 card (I have 3 of them and tried all of them in her phone with the same outcome) and would corrupt the card in less than 1 week - my phone worked perfectly with all those cards and still does. So I put a 16gb card in her phone instead and it has been running fine without 1 hint of corruption for that last 4 months. With that being said I used to build electronic devices and very rarely using military spec parts would my devices come out exactly and completely 100% the same, as I most always had tweaked them to fall under my specs. Granted some of the tweaks were small and some were more so.

SO beware of any modifications, as it can cause weird problems in "any" software tweak, since hardware my differ ever so slightly.

Also everything on my Sprint GS3 was enabled when I did billard412's tweak except for BT, cause thats the way I run my phone at all times. I do not toggle things on and off. Just saying.

Did you ever get your email app problem resolve? And are you using the stock email app?

I did a factory reset and it set it back in order. But I had a new problem as a result of the factory rest. I could not update my PRL, Profile or Firmware. I would get an error message. I took my phone in to a Sprint repair store and they replaced my phone. About 4 hours after I got my replacement I received the MB6 update and the MB1 update. I am happy now. I don't think I am going to try to reinstall the toggle shutter again. I keep my phone stock. No more modifications for me. lol. I'm just glad my phone is up to date.

Keep us informed of the outcome - all I know, I was "completely stock and on 4.1.1" and everything went perfectly smooth for me.

ok, so with billard412's help, i'm rooted (which i was toying with the idea anyway) and got the wifi toggle working again. he said that the errors were probably due to downgrading because the one-click was based on the LJ7 OTA from sprint and that i had the latest MB1. that's prob why yours went off without a hitch. he said he's currently working on an updated version though

Cool! I am glad everything worked out.

Just caught this thread and figured I'd pop in. I can assure you that depending on the exact issues you had, it was infact related to the downgrade, For the people with weird issues like FC's, you got them because you downgraded and didnt wipe. A factory reset wouldve fixed stuff like that. Now, a broken wifi toggle I assure you is related to the kernel. Normally an older a mismatched kernel is no biggie (an example being running the ma6 kernel on the mb1 rom.) However LJ7(aka my odin oc) is android 4.1.1 and the mb1 update is 4.1.2. No surprise it caused issues. In all honesty the downgrade on top of not wiping in between Im surprised the phones even booted up. (hang on samsung glow;not brick). I will admit I should've labeled it better however i did not realize its popularity. With that said, when stuff like this goes down, CONTACT ME. I stand by the stuff i post and am more than happy to help u fix it.If you were one of the unfortunates who downgraded and put up with it til now, i commend you and apologize. The good news is a new version is almost up after some testing(waiting on feedback, my s3 is a loaner right now) Its only a 17mb download, takes about a minute to apply and isn't android version dependent as it doesn't require installing a whole system. Heres a sneak peek as i have it completed for the note 2. Hopefully will be up today. If you flashed my old one and were downgraded I assure you your phone is not borked. Just having a few conflicts.Theres a few ways to fix it but here is what i recommend.
First download this file and stick on desktop (its special just for this purpose)
Then head here and download the file that matches yours phones storage capacity. Save it to your internal or external sd.
after that run the fix u put on desktop. It will take about 5 seconds after which your phone will auto boot to twrp. Apply my zip (no wipe needed) and your be fully updated in OUT OF THE BOX state. (with the exception of still having your data)
It may sound hard for the noobz out there but its a hella easy way to make sure your phone is how it should be. If help is needed Im almost always on google talk(username-billard412) and will have you good to go in about 5 mins. With all that said ill leave you with this:
If you ran my one click without problems i promise u can root just as easy, You are missing out. I also will have a one click root no counter increase out in the days to come so its only getting easier. But be on the look out for new stuff whatever your situation.
Thanks

EDIT:NEW ONES ARE UP. WILL POST IN DEV SECTION WITH DESCRIPTION LATER...
WILL PROVIDE LINKS. SEE LINK IN ABOVE POST TO NOTE 2 FOR INFO. THERE IS A MAJOR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY::::::
:::::THE 32 AND 16 EACH HAVE THEIR OWN VERSION.... IF YOU FLASH THIS ON A MODEL OTHER THAN THE SPH-L710 OR A STORAGE CAPACITY OTHER THAN YOUR OWN, YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE.,
So pay attention and choose wisely.

Does this one install just like the last one?

Yes and no. Yes In a sense that when complete still leaves you unrooted with normal everything and no signs of modification. But no as it does not use the method of flashing the entire system. I figured with the downgrade issues along with the giant file and 20 minutes to apply, a better format was needed. This works like an ota would. This will flash a cache image with a zip that does all the work. When u run this (which takes <20s) it will reboot to a special recovery that will change what needs changed, then reboots back to normal with no tracks left behind. It will not trigger the flash count and system status remains normal. This method can be used on any Android version without the issues experienced before. Its safe as long as u use the right one.

As far as you the end user is concerned yes. The steps you take are the same. Just much faster this time

Thanks for keeping this mod short and fast. I am thinking of getting a S3 or Note 2 for my wife, and it would be a handy feature to have, especially when taking pictures of animals and pets. Can't understand why Sprint takes it out and Verizon (and possibly AT&T) keeps it in?

So I just got my S3 (upgraded from a POS S2 refurb, thanks for nothing Sprint) and it upgraded to 4.1.2 right away so thankfully I've missed whatever the issues seem to be. I have some questions but I'm going to read the forum to try to find the answer since this is my first post in this forum. LOVE the S3...

I just realized that I lost the "shoot" voice command for the camera with the 4.1.2 update, why can't Samsung leave well enough alone? I had it with 4.1.1. I looked in language and input and the check box for camera shutter isn't there. Any help with this or is the feature anyplace else in the settings.

Ran into some problems with the new version, but I talked to billard412 on google talk and he got it all sorted out. Thanks a lot dude! So glad to have a silent camera again.

No. It may have been remade in all the ones i did today but if u already had it no reason to re-download. Was hinting more at the new one for anyone still lingering on lj7 and the addition of heimdall based versions to support Mac/Linux users
