4g 3g Network Connections

Not sure if this is part of the problem or just a simple quick fix.
My thundernuts drops signal like no tomorrow, on my 3rd one. Obviously the network.
When I notice I have no data I look at the quick settings pull down menu and mobile network is off
Then I go into All settings and network is on, not working though. So I disable it, then go to quick settings to enable it and, boom I have network connection.
Are these two network access points canceling each other out fighting for control?

You may be in a fringe area. I have had a tbolt, rezound, gs3,and razr maxx. The tbolt was by far the worst in terms of holding signal in fringe areas. I had 4 tbolts all the same problem. Verizon eventually sent me a warranty replacement rezound and that fixed the problem for me.

My friend has a tbolt next to any of my other phones, no signal drops on my phone, my friend has signal drops like you describe a lot.
