5.0.1 OTA

Since I have downloaded the update I have been having problems with my lock screen, Facebook, and Youtube. And it seems like it takes a long time for the device to boot up. I think I'm going to back everything up and do a hard reset.

Gave up on the ota, used the Nexus toolkit to update from 5 to 5.0.1. It all went pretty smooth. Maybe it's psychological, but I can see a difference in performance with the new O.S update and within the apps themselves using 5.0.1 over 5.0. The one thing that's annoying me is that the movie apps, hbogo epix, starz, encore just crash when you try to play something, showtime, and the likes of espngo and the nbc sports work fine. Just seems to be a few movie channel apps with issues. I can live with that, overall I'm starting to enjoy lollipop a lot more now.

I flashed 5.0 and now when the OTA 5.01 try's to install it quits and I get an error. After a bit it reboots to 5.0

I have the update notification but I am going to wait a week to see if bugs and performance issues pop up. I really am happy with kit kat and wouldn't even consider updating if it makes my tablet less responsive.

I'm still on 4.4.3 because I never got an OTA notification for 4.4.4, 5.0, and now 5.0.1. I'm pretty sure I've somehow fallen off of Google's radar. My question is how to get this fixed? Certainly there has to be a process, right? Right?

You probably have the LTE version of the tablet. That one is way behind on updates.

This. Kit Kay is perfect on my N7. Hopeful that 5.0.1 has the bugs worked out but not messing with a good thing until proven so.

Well I finally got 5.0.1!! I never got 5.0. No problems at all yet. I'm really loving it...

I guess I'll be the last one to get the update.

5.0.1 was waiting for me when I got home. Everything is running smooth, but I haven't had a chance to test all my apps. Took around 20 min to install after accepting the notification. Very satisfied right now.

Before accepting the notification, I made sure I updated what applications Google Play said needing to be updated aong with uninstalling whatever I didn't want any longer.

Dled it this evening. So far I had one reboot. Other than that works pretty smoothly. Other issue I found, I can't get my Chromecast to sync up. Anyone having issues with Chromecast?

I got the OTA notification and attempted to install to my Nexus 7, but it failed with an unknown error. Tried about a half dozen times and finally gave up.

Side loaded the 5.0.1 razor version and my Nexus 7 is working perfectly.

Keep in mind the OTA upgrade to lollipop can take a long time because it must compile all of your installed apps for the new ART runtime. Side loading is fast as it erases the entire device first.

I had the same issue had to do a clean install of 5.01, it also fixed a battery issue with lollipop 5 that had been bothering the tablet.

Yep battery life on the tablet with 5.0.1 has been fantastic. Hopefully the Nexus 5 will get the update soon and resolve the horrid battery life that 5.0 seems to have caused.

Actually mine works much better now. Before I could not get audio - now it's fine...

Things seem relatively smooth with 5.01 but my tablet was also lag free and snappy before the update as well. Did have an issue with rebooting and the tablet saying it was optimizing 2 apps and taking forever. Went and uninstalled a bunch of apps I never use and that seemed to solve the problem. Uninstalled a bunch at once so not sure which 2 were not playing well with lollipop. Still definitely takes longer to boot up but overall I am liking the update and improvements it gives.
