I have the Note 20 Ultra and Verizon service. I am curious if there is a way to shut off 5G in settings, to remain on the 4G network only. I'm asking because there is a location where I work, where the phone goes crazy switching back and forth between 4g and 5g, and speeds are very slow because of it.
I have tried all the settings under Mobile Network with luck.
Thanks in advance

I have that same issue. At work when my phone does it's occasional switch to 5G I have no connectivity due to weak signal. There was a solution posted on another post in this group. It involves using ADB to enter a line of code to enable the setting. I haven't personally tried it yet but it is on my list of things to do tonight.

My apologies if that link doesn't work. It's my first try at linking to another post.

I have the option in my N20 Ultra in settings and Connection's to choose and also have a 5G toggle in my Pull Down Notifications shade.

Weird how some networks and regions differ.

I'm in the UK using an imported N20 Ultra as I wanted the Snapdragon version.

My experience with 5G is that it was a gimmick. In general its either not available or it's the same speed as LTE. Big disappointment. The advertised 5G only works from a few feet of a 5G antenna in a city like NYC. It was billions of dollars wasted and 5G was rushed out way too soon. For some reason my mobile hotspot doesn't work on 5G either. I just turn the garbage off

I feel the same way. The top will say 5G yet any apps I run to test the network say 4GLTE. Sounds like a bit of a scam to me. Either the apps are lying or AT&T is lying.

Maybe it is AT&T lying. Showing 5G on Tmobile.

AT&T has been caught presenting their 4G LTE network as 5G, other carriers made a huge fuss of it.

They did the same years ago with the transition to 4G. AT&T labeled their updated 3G network as 4G while the competition waited for LTE to become available to call it 4G.

Here is a workaround to turn off 5G from a Verizon forum. Not sure if it works on all N20Us.
