[7.14.11][ROM] Das BAMF Sense 3.0 RC4.9

Has anyone had an issue with Sense needing to load every time you exit an app? Every time I exit an app and try to return to the home screen I get the white HTC screen and then I have to wait for Sense to load again. It did this on RC4 as well but not as much.

This was happening to me also on rc4 and now rc4.9. I started wiping dev cashe to stop it. After 24 hours it comes back. Are you using set CPU app to overclock? Because it seems to do this the more I overclock.

So far I'm enjoying this rom, but I have one major issue that I can't seem to solve. How do you disable unlock/wake via the volume keys? I've been trying to register at Team BAMF forums, but the keycaptcha doesn't seem to be taking, even though I've lined up the photo perfectly. Any help would be great on this. Thanks!

I flashed the mod for RC2 and all seems right with my TBolt. Haven't seen a disable wake on volume mod newer than that one for BAMF Sense 3.0.

My phone vibrates randomly for like a quick sec there and there!! Anyone have that issue?? I turned everything off that has to do with vibrate.

I've never rooted a phone before and was wondering if anyone would be willing to walk me through it.

Thanks,
Charles

Thisis my exact issue. I am using SetCPU and the BAMF Toolkit app. (Newb question Alert) Should I be using 1 or the other, instead of both?

I use wireless tether and it works fine. Google wireless tether .apk and download it.

That's what I'm using. Maybe I should have installed it fresh instead of restoring it from a backup.

I was also having issues with Google Music not seeing all my music too. So I went back to RC4 and all is well. I may give 4.9 another try.

You can flash the ROM after you have done the auto root. There are some great tutorials on this site. I learned by just reading them and following the steps exactly.
Thanks. I am downloading TB Auto root right now and have downloaded the htc sync as well. If I run into any snags I will let ya know. Thanks again.

I strongly suggest you do the manual root method as described here http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...ocedure-how-root-thunderbolt-adb-windows.html.

This was also my first experience in rooting an android phone having come over from blackberry. In using this tutorial you get an idea how adb works and I have found that having some experience in the workings of android will be helpful in the future.

Good luck.

I got it to root but can't figure out how to get rom flashed. I tried using rom manager and can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Did you try the steps detailed here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...-backup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html ?

I have used these steps often and have never had a problem.

One more thing, make sure you delete all the cache(s). I have seen posts where users clear 3 times each. You can experiment with each procedure and find the one that works for you. One thing for sure is that you must wipe for any successful rom change.

Also, do not forget to download and install superuser from the market and test your root with something like shootme!

I have tried following those steps and anytime I do anything with clockwork recovery it takes me back to the recovery screen. I have used the tb auto root and everything is setup, however on the recovery screen it still says mecha xd ship s-on. Should it say s-off?

Just to confirm:
1. after rooting you installed super user
2. you installed shootme and confirm that it works
3. you updated clockwork from the rom manager start screen

If all those are a yes then you will need someone with more experience help you out.

Good luck.
