9/22/2010 EVO Update posted to Sprint Support page

Baltimore, MD, nothing here. Maybe tomorrow, I think that's what happened with froyo, but I don't really remember. All I know is Sprint and HTC have sure as hell been doing WAY BETTER then any other carrier and/or phone with updated and fix's. Now after the update, will we start seeing true video comparisons? Whenever I hear iPhone users say crap the Evo, I remind them when the 1st iPhone was released, it was plugged with issues and problems. And Sprint and HTC have been pushing out the goods more in the last few months for Evo then iPhone has in the last year.

Nothing in Sacramento but definitely not pulling the trigger on anyone's pre-release like eveeyone and I did on the last OTA to froyo.

If you are currently rooted and follow the link above to the rooted, de-odexed version of 3.29.651.5 you will NOT break your root.

On the other hand, if you accept the official OTA or update.zip leak from HTC then you will most likely lose your root.

FYI

i am not rooted. I do remember jumping on the froyo bandwagon early and had to take my phone into sprint to get it to the correct verson because I didn't wait to the official reslease. This time, I am waiting for the OTA update. Lesson learned but root would definitely be nice when XDA is able to get it done. :D
