9 Years With Sprint - Won't Be 10

I jumped ship yesterday. I'm a new Verizon customer. Grabbed an S3 at Best Buy. Not a word from Sprint since I filed a complaint with the BBB almost 2 weeks ago.

Thank u one less person clogging the network :D jk but I have near perfect signal in Chicago and surrounding burbs

Did you get that promo in the mail?

I received a Sprint booklet in the mail the other day with various promotions. The last page in it had this promo but I can't seem to get the website to come up and do not have a scanner here at home.

This pricing is very similar to EPRP with the exception of lines 3-5 is $5.00 per month more.

I filed a complaint yesterday 7/14. First time after being with Sprint for almost 10 years. Phone is almost unusable unless on wifi.

CONGRATS TO ME!!!
Sprint Executive Services called me at work. Knew I had switched to Verizon, and waved my $280 ETF. He confirmed I had been calling about service issues for months, and that they were still on-going.
They want my phone back, which is fair, and are sending me a mailer kit.

In case you didn't scroll up, this was after filing a complaint with the BBB when CS wouldn't budge on the full ETF.

I feel your pain...been limping on an Airrave for years at home now...ATT was worse though and just always said "sorry for your experience."

So I sit and wait for LTE to come to the OC (hopefully around 9/12-10/12 per S4GRU) and see if 3G improves...my biggest problem is 4 phones on a share plan with a tasty discount that puts my bill under $200 for unlimited data/texts. With 2 of the 4 phones using well over 6-8GB month streaming video and music....I'd get murdered by Verizon's share plans as well as pay nearly 80 more per month (that'd be for a 10GB cap on shared data).. no thanks I'm sticking it out with Sprint.

If you switch to ATT, I wouldn't bother taking your phone east of Harlem Avenue between Cermak and North Avenue. That's one giant dead zone of dropped calls and pathetic data speeds that are just as bad with Sprints. That's what made me drop ATT.

I do feel your pain, I live in Oak Park and the data speeds are a joke and the tower I connect to is being worked on, so since late June I've gotten spotty phone service to boot. But once I'm west of 294 I've experienced great coverage and decent 3G speeds.

I have been a huge Sprint supporter for longer than my oldest underwear. Yes, it's been a while. Loved the plans, phones, coverage, speeds, rates.

I begrudgingly put up with increased fees, eliminated plans, elimination of loyal customer perks, listening to their CEO speaking more and more like a slimy politician and slower speeds.

What's getting me to quit them? I have been without cell signal at my house since the end of March, and almost unuasable signal at work since April. The 2 places I use it most. After 3 calls to complain, they finally told me they are upgrading towers in the area, and apparently disabled what they had before having the new equipment in place.

Sprint's fix for the house was a one time $15 credit, and then later an Airave. Nothing for my work. Multiple calls, and promises of better service, with the most recent promise of better quailty service at my house as of 6/16. Nope. Unplug the Airave, and 0 bars. Oh yeah, I live in suburban Chicago. Not in the cornfields. No offense to corn. I love corn.

I'm now shopping for a new carrier. More expensive, but better service far outweighs lower prices but no service, everyday.

Yes, I'm whining. It's allowed after 9 years of paying my bill on time and referring customers.

I want a new S III, but not on a network that won't even tell me when I can use it's best feature! As tech saavy as I am, I don't know how to port my number. Never had an interset in doing it before.

Being a Sprint fan is like being a Chicago Cub fan. It's like they are TRYING to make me leave them. Enough. Whining eliminated.

I hear ya man...I'm in Sacramento, CA and in the worse situation than you cuz I made a mistake of signing another 2 years in May with EVO LTEs, I'm getting 3G speeds of 20-50kbps spent past month with sprint trying to get their attn buy no luck...I'm thinking of going with the Big Red, but my EFT is 365 per line.
Any suggestions?

I live in Sacramento area too. I say to just sell your Evo Lte to pay for Etf and cut your loss. I'm about to cancel this month. I already told them to send a return kit for the airave. I'm going AT&T or Straight Talk.

Do what I did. Complain, create a paper trail, and when they can't fix it, file a complaint with the BBB.

I'm working on cancelling without EFT....Customer-no-service is telling me that they are providing the service...how fast is not their problem, cuz it doesn't guarantee speeds...
So I emailed their Sprint SVP and he got back to me, and assigned his assistant to work on my complaint, so let's see what happens..

Let me know how it goes. I plan to cancel at the end of this month.

I'm starting to notice a lot more dead spots. Before I only knew of two dead spots on the freeway... Now it's a constant drop of calls.

I heard Mickey on the Cell Phone Junkie podcast say Sprint has decommissioned 30% of its towers and also no longer roams on AllTell.

Really glad that I am not longer a Sprint customer! ATT has been great the past 3 months! CS is amazing and I have yet to see a messed up bill. Plus they gave me a free month for my S3 being 5 days late! Cant complain about that!

Good luck getting out with no ETF!

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers...
