Ok heres my problem my EC16SC29_DXC.tar is EB16SC29_DXC.tar.rar when it downloaded what did i do wrong? I also do have a tar file that is cwm-recovery-ALL should i be choosing that one? I can't choose the first one in oden because it isn't tar. Help?

Ok guys, I too would like to root my phone/get froyo, and I was pretty sure I'd be able to do it by just reading all the great instructions everyone has posted on here. Seriously you guys are amazing for helping this much. I failed at step one though. I downloaded the one click root folder (FascinateRoot_v02), unzipped as directed, and all that was in the folder was [adb, AdbWinApi.dll, AdbWinUsbApi.dll, busybox, com.sh, PMSLEEP, rage]. No START_ROOT. I even tried re-downloading the file two or three times. Where am I going wrong here?

screen sharing..... i dont know why you are not getting the whole file, let me redownload it and see if its missing for some reason

ok did you delete the one in your download folder and redownload

ok I redownloaded, and when i extract the same thing happens. So i just opened the zipped file and all the content that is supposed to be there is there, but once i extract it goes missing. I've never seen that before

ok, I extracted with a different program and it worked....that was strange. Thanks for your help, I hopefully can take it from here! I'll be sure to post again if I have any more trouble though
