Google Voice works fine for me. I just had to log in to the site and disable an option that made it take over my texting automatically. It was quite annoying to find out I was using a number next to no one knew even when I sent it from the normal texting app.

At the moment, you don't. We have to have a custom kernel that supports it, first. But there are apps like CPURoot (I think that's what it's called) that allow you to drag a slider to change the frequency for those who do have one.

EDIT: I might need some brave testers soon I'm making progress with the android app and have my dashboard and about screen finished, a working (basic!) file browser, and root privileges! All that's left is to add the actual commands which do not look hard. If I do release this, I doubt I'll put it on the market, it will remain free, and it will NOT have ads.

It's just an Android version of ShabbyLeaf that doesn't update your rom. It will apply boot animations, themes, and remove bloat without the need of a computer. I'm nervous about attempting an update rom feature because I don't know if I can make my app keep running while everything starts to force quit when removed.

I've noticed on LeafRom 0.2 that Sprint Hotspot seems to always be running. Was this happening on stock and I just now noticed? Does having root somehow make this service free?

I've noticed that too...I think its something about gettin data or something..but I don't know really

No - sprint hotspot is not free, however you can install barnacle (can find it in the market for free) and make your phone a hotspot that way since you are rooted.

As for it always running, I believe it ran also on stock. It would be great to remove it entirely, however it is baked into settings.apk, so we would need to find a different version of settings.apk that works for us first.

Hey shappypenguin..or anyone who know this..is it possible to change go launcher for a different launcher? Like the launcher pro plus? I'm ok with the go launcher but I really like the widgets that launcherpro plus has..
Any ideas how?

Yeah I did that..but what if I root unistall go launcher and later on I do a full reset?won't it be messed up?

I couldn't tell you. I don't think it will since Android does a good job at bringing up a list of relative apps when you open files. I swapped miui music for songbird while testing shabbyleaf and didn't have an issue. It may be able to detect your launcher app automatically

if you dlete go launcher from system/app i dont believe youll have another launcher, forgive but its been a hectic weekend and its been a while since i sat at my home computer

If you delete your launcher and can't have another like Shabbypenguin thinks, I'd have to add a feature into ShabbyLeaf to modify whatever system files recognize the app as a home screen launcher.

I haven't been on a computer much either. I got hurt pretty bad due to my own stupidity and have a hard time sitting at a desk, or anything else rather than laying down really, for more than a few minutes. I'm hoping this road rash all over my back and feet heals up pretty quick so I can get back to my my projects too. I should be able to finish ShabbyLeaf for Android soon once I get started again.

You'll have to run the shell script then (Leaf-Rom.sh). I don't have access to a Mac to port ShabbyLeaf and can barely sit upright in a chair for a few minutes.
