Active Display + Hangout notifications Problem

Anyone having issues with the newest Hangouts update no longer displaying new text notifications on Active Display? For some reason, it won't show up there anymore, and I have to unlock the phone to see my notification tray to determine if I have any knew Hangout texts. It still buzzes and plays the sound, just doesn't show me on AD.

I've tried uninstalling all updates to Hangouts and reinstalling, but that didn't fix it. I'm thinking this just may be an unintended consequence of a recent Hangouts update, and may be fixed in the future.

Anyone else having this problem?

Did you check in Settings | Active Display | Select Apps to see that Hangouts is still checked?

I noticed several days ago that my Hangouts had become unchecked from Active Display. Not sure what triggered it. Still on 4.4.2 and hadn't updated Hangouts in that time frame. I've been re-enabling system apps that I had previously disabled, eg Email, Calendar, Calculator, Messaging - just to make sure there are no problems when I finally get the 4.4.4 update.
