I like it, but I decided earlier today that it's not enough for me to abandon my current Moto X. I mean, there really isn't anything that I don't like about the original Moto X, so I would only be buying a new phone just because I wanted to buy something new.
So I bought a new pair of shoes instead.
That leather back sounds interesting to me too
Am I the only one excited about android L? Nothing else but a nexus or a new or old x is ever going to see it without a dumb skin over it. As long as the specs are in the ballpark of other flagships then that really ranks high for me. Most people outside of these forums don't care at all about what version they are on though. My wife hates when her phone software gets updated and loves huge phones so the note series is her favorite.
However the spec bump will be nice. I've been playing with a note 3 I picked up on swappa...i thought the x was smooth... Nothing slows this down even with the silly tw skin! I'm excited the new x basically has the same specs and is obviously smaller. My x slows down if I run a background dash cam app and navigation at the same time for example.
I was, and then saw the battery. Yes you do not always need a huge battery, but a 100 mah increase with a larger, high res screen and most likely is going to have not that great battery life. Moto was so close to making the near perfect phone. They improved the camera, and the screen, and I am a fan of the new look. But I will wait and see how battery is. I cannot deal with a phone that has poor battery life.
It's an old phone now in term of spec, dual core 1.7ghz. Compared to these newer phones with quadcore 2.5ghz.Agree. I played with the moto x and everyone claiming it was so buttery smooth, at least when I played with it, it did not seem that smooth and still had some lag to it. Hopefully with the high end specs of the new moto x, that will be fixed.
As long as the software updates make it to the current x there's no compelling reason I can think of to upgrade unless you *like* bigger phones (which I happen to prefer slightly).I'm buying one, but I bought a second 2013 Moto X because I have a feeling I'll still prefer the smaller one.
They're saying screen draw is less and we know the 801 is far more efficient than the s600 under the same conditions. Moto did some different things with power allocation on their krait 300s last time. I'd assume they're smart enough not to release a device with worse battery life and that means at least all day for most customers.

There's kernel support for some STMicro microprocessors outside the SoC in there. They are doing something ...
