after updating my galaxy note 3 my music I can't control my music on my lock screen how do I fix it?

I have to unlock my phone to skip songs and it's just irritating

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you updated to Lollipop, which got rid of lockscreen widgets and replaced them with lockscreen notifications. So are you not seeing the lockscreen notification widget for the music app? Or do you see it, but it doesn't work?
