AKG Earbuds That Come Packaged With S10 Are Simply Awful

Samsung should be ashamed of itself to stick these things in there. There's no bass...as in none whatsoever. Hell, there's not even a lower midrange. Absolutely worthless. The wireless earbuds that I just received yesterday are even better and they are truly mediocre themselves. Well, at least there's a headphone jack so I can go out and purchase a pair of decent earbuds.

For $1000 phone Samsung really could have (and should have) done better.

I never even bother touching or taking the earbuds out of the packaging when I get a new phone. It's pretty common knowledge that they're gonna be below average and just above acceptable. Helps with resale value too.

I will defend Samsung on this, some don't even bother including ear buds.

I know it's just marketing but at least they give us $200 for a POS phone and offer pre-order bonus.

Yes. I'm ranting on Apple.

Personally I find them decent and use them as a back-up or at work where I might break or lose them.

The AKG earbuds are clearly not that great compared to Bose or Sennheiser but, in a pinch, they get the job done. I love my Bose QC20 and Soundsport Frees with my GS10+. It would have been nice to include Samsung Buds.

They aren't that bad especially compared to the one that apple includes. Did you a different size from the ones they give you extra? I feel that If they dont stay snug inside the ear you will not hear the bass.

Enable adapt sound may help.

Mine sound good. Adjust for the sound you want and make sure you're using the best size buds for your ears.

They are really not that bad at all. Sound great in my opinion, plus they are free you won't get better wired headphones buying a phone from any other company. You won't even get a headphone jack nowadays.

It's all subjective. They sound good to me. Even if they didn't I'd just buy different ones.

No they're not! Any more than BMW "free" service is free. It's bundled into the price of the item. And for $1000 I really think they could have afforded a decent set of earbuds which probably would have cost them maybe $10 a pair (their cost).

They sound good to me. I've heard much worse. Only thing I dont like about them is that they're slightly on the heavy side. When I'm running at the gym, they start to move around and break the seal so I have to constantly push them in when that happens. Same thing with the buds.

Not disagreeing with OP's original premise. If you can afford a $1,000 smartphone, you can buy your own. I rarely even take them out of the box. Galaxy Buds should have been included. Samsung is in business to make money and is modeling pricing and packaging paradigm just like Apple. They both make you buy things like fast charging bricks in the case of Apple when it should be included as Samsung does include the brick.

Let me say what i think.for a $1700 phone.they are doing good.the headphones which came with my $2000 iPhone is crap.so far the best FREE headphones was from LG.LG Quadbeat...

Subjectivity is all you need. Just because they don't sound good to one person doesn't mean they're bad for everyone. I like AKG.
