AKG Earbuds That Come Packaged With S10 Are Simply Awful

My wife doesn't use them at all, neither does my brother so anything that comes in the box is just a waste for. It's not as if they're actually free either... There is a cost associated with putting them in that box.

No they're not! Any more than BMW "free" service is free. It's bundled into the price of the item. And for $1000 I really think they could have afforded a decent set of earbuds which probably would have cost them maybe $10 a pair (their cost).

Isn't it fair to say that, you didn't purchase the device for the included headphones? Truth be told I was shocked a set was included. The Note 9 didn't have any. Also, Samsung is sending us (most) who preordered a free wireless pair. Honestly, do you expect Samsung to throw in a set of Bose????

Yep. They are terrible. But I've never had headphones that came with a phone that were worth a damn. Even the EarPods that come with iPhones are crap.

They sound alright to me. I have a different set of earbuds that I use anyway but I tried them out and I have definitely heard worse and there was some bass on mine. I assume OP didn't have the right size plugs on them or didn't know how to put them in their ears.

I compared earbuds last year and I remember thinking they sounded fine and I'm picky as heck about audio. Do I use them? No, I prefer headphones to earphones/earbuds.

Exactly what I do. Never use them and keep them for resale later.

Actually I prefer the free AKG buds in the box to the BT Galaxy Buds I just received. The Galaxy Buds are very average, even when using for phone calls.

I sell them every year in my garage sale. I never even bother trying them. The only time I really use headphones is either at the gym or while I'm mowing the lawn. I prefer Bluetooth just because in tend to get cords caught on stuff.

They're not great, and I hate how they tried to claim they were a $100 value, when they first brought AKG onboard. I don't claim to be an audiophile, but I have $30 earbuds that sound waaay better.

I don't care much, because my expectations have always been low for earbuds included with a phone. In never disappointed.

I did find the sound quality better than the AKG that came with my S9+ still prefer headphones!

I actually like them quite a bit.

But at the same time, i always buy the Skullcandy $8.99 earbuds so take my taste in sound with a grain of salt (is that the right terminology? English isn't my first lang )

They're great for listening to podcasts, audiobooks and watching videos on YouTube.

If you want great sounding headphone for listening to audio, you're going to have to pay for it...period.
