Alarm ?

Thanks all for the recent help with my new Charge. Thus far I have few complaints.

I have a question about the alarm. My old BB allowed me to set the alarm and then I could power off the phone and the alarm would sound and the phone would turn on. Does my Charge do this or does the phone have to remain on for the alarm to sound?

I went from blackberry to charge too. Shutting down an android phone is similar to pulling the battery out of a blackberry. "Shutting off" a blackberry simply puts it into a deep sleep mode.
