All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

I ordered it on the 7th of may from Amazon. They originally stated that it wouldn't ship til June 1st. I received an email about 5 days after order that it had shipped and I recieved it on the 14th. and yes it was the 1750mAh battery.

I've read thru quite a bit of this thread, but not all of it so I apologize if this was covered already. Here is my question:

Is it safe/smart/ok to take the phone off of the charger before it is fully charged to 100%? Will this affect the life span of the battery? I'm assuming yes but after reading thru this thread all assumptions about batteries are out the window these days lol.

TIA.

jayhawkfan18, taking it off before a full charge only effects how long your phone will last on that charge. These batteries are rated for so many cycles you will end up with a new phone before you need a battery more than likely. A cycle is generally considered from 10%-20% charge to 100% so if anything you are extending the life as long as you don't let the battery completely die.

Excellent. Thanks for the info! :)

My very first charge to the device was yesterday and I had to use my laptop to charge via USB.. that took forever. Like 4 hours. Today I'm charging via wall outlet and it's going much much faster. Clearly that's the way to go!

I've been looking to order a Seido battery, but I haven't found anyplace that has them in stock. Amazon is saying 2-3 weeks right now, so I've been holding off ordering from there.

Should I take a chance with Amazon?

Yeah, charging from a usb port on a computer delivers just a trickle charge. Takes forever.

Looks like Amazon.com has the Seidio back in stock just recently. Free two-day shipping for Prime members.

YES they finally got them back in order placed! Been waiting on that before it was giving a 2-3 weeks time! Order now I have a feeling they won't last long.

I consider myself a moderate to heavy user. 100-200 emails per day (I'm an eCommerce Director), dozens of texts, IM'ing, only about 20-30 minutes a day talking on it, GPS on, 3G on, Screen Auto Brightness, Bluetooth on while driving (about 1 hour total), about 15-20 minutes of remote desktoping, and other services running and syncing hourly such as FaceBook, Twidroid, FeedR RSS, etc.

-With my stock battery I was able to make it 8-9 hours.

-With the Touch Pro2 1500 mAh battery I typically made it 10-12 hours.

-After just 3 power cycles with the Seidio I am now able to make it 24 hours. I hope it will continue to get better, but if not, I don't mind. 24 hours was my benchmark.

Needless to say, I am very happy with the Seidio battery and will be keeping it. All I ever want to be able to do is make it through a FULL day (wake to sleep) without having to think about my battery and while not having to make any sacrifices on what I want to use. With the Seidio battery "I" am able to achieve this goal.

I found a 2000mah battety on ebay for 9.99 shipped. I dont know how good it will be but i think im ganna order it anyway. Im kinda curious. I will post back if its any good.

I think i have made the decision to hold my breath for the 2150mAh battery from Verizon when it does come out. I know most CSRs don't know about timing of its release yet, but my question is....

.... is there anyone who has any clue of how close it is?

This is the first I have heard of the 2150 battery...is this for real? I was about to purchase the 1750...

I wouldn't hold my breath it will probably be awhile. I was thinking within 2 weeks of launch they would have it and they still don't, so I ordered the 1750. If it's not enough I'll order a 2150 later.

I ordered mine today and amazon.com says my shipping estimate is: May 24, 2010.

It appears they are out of stock again. (From amazon's warehouse it appears to be out of stock, but other stores are selling it through amazon.) :( Looks like I placed my order just in time. :)

I took the chance and went with Amazon. It's giving me an estimated Ship date of June 9th. If the extended battery comes out from Verizon before that. I'm going to cancel the order and go with a bigger battery. Charging this phone 2 or 3x a day is just not acceptable.

so are you guys happy with the 1750 performance.
I am getting decent life with the stock battery. GPS on makes a huge difference though.
