All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

this is only my second full charge and i took it off and sent 3 texts and 15 mins later i was down 8 percent

Last night I set an alarm on my Incredible, put it on Airplane mode, and then turned the screen off. I woke up about 6 hours later and the battery lost about 20%. I realize 20% in 6 hours isn't bad, but keep in mind the screen was off the entire time as were all network/radio connections.

I'm hoping it gets better...

Not experiencing the same thing.

Did you charge it up full before using it?

I charged it up and started using it around 11am yesterday. Was down to 29% around 7pm, so put it back on the charger. Recharged, then started using it again.

I went to bed at 77% and woke up at something like 72 or 73%. Didn't lose too much overnight.

I've turned off the GPS location services and wasn't using bluetooth or wifi.

yeah i did and i dont have any of those things running took off all the widgets like weather stock and such and still running like crazy

I charged my phone last night when I got it and played with it for about an hour. Then turned it off and went to bed. It's been on since 6am and now at 930 it just turned orange. about 30 minutes in phone calls and heavy web/app usage.

i hope it gets better or ill be buying an extended real fast or an update comes

i charged mine completely and was downloading, texting,on the internet, listening to music for about 3 hrs non stop ad the battery fell 20%. so thats pretty good

is anyone else having this problem? I turned off like all the widgets and such but it still is dying real quick. this morning i took it off the charger and sent 1 text. 10 minutes later 5 percent was gone and i dont have location services or anything on it at all.

I'm having the same issue. I woke up this morning, stuffed the phone in my pocket, went to work, an hour after waking up and literally not accessing my phone for anything and my battery is down to 91%?

I'm only on like the full 2nd or 3rd cycle, so i'm hoping it improves, but yeah, so far the battery life is pretty damn bad.

Check the other thread's there is an extended battery on amazon for 41. it is 35% larger.

Why not ask for a new battery first or swap the battery in the demo at the store to see if that makes it work?

are you charging using USB or AC? I believe if the battery drops below 5%, USB will not charge it and you have to plug into the wall

I had a full charge overnight. After 5 hours my phone is currently at 45%.

i turned my brightness down to like 25%ish, no wifi, bluetooth, or GPS.

Well, just to add my two cents, my experience with the Seidio battery for the past 24 hours or so has been pretty good compared to stock (even though I haven't used stock for a complete day yet).

The stock battery died (starting at 20%) just a mere hour and a half or so after getting the phone. I was playing with it non-stop, calling, texting, downloading, playing music, etc. (10:30am - 12:00pm yesterday).

I promptly put in the Seidio battery and let it charge for about 4.5 hours straight. Not playing with it for about 4 of those hours. Couldn't help myself the first 30 mins! :)

Took it off the charger at 4:30pm, but synced up with my computer until 6:30pm. The phone just died 30 minutes ago. I had an unplugged time of 16 hours on the dot. No way the stock battery would have lasted that long. No way.

From 6:30pm until 12:00pm, I had been playing with it furiously, watching YouTube, downloading apps, listening to music, friendstream, texting, wifi, used bluetooth headset on lots of calls last night (2.5 hours total), using GPS for about 20 minutes, took some pictures, listened to FM radio, doing everything I could. The battery was at 34% by midnight.

Woke up this morning at 7am and it was at 27%. Left 3G and Wifi on. Seems like 1% battery = 1 hour of standby time with those radios left on. Listened to music on the way to work (25 minute drive), more texting, one call, more apps, more surfing with Skyfire, just ran Seesmic at 10:30am when it died.

That's pretty impressive compared to my iPhone3G which couldn't even make it 11 hours before dying completely -- and not even using it HALF as much as the Incredible yesterday.

My take so far - the Seidio is worth it. The real world experience is excellent and the life has been very good. I used juice defender for most of the day also.

Take it for what you will, but that's been my experience. I LOVE THE FACT that the original battery door FITS on the back NO problem with this extended battery. :D I'll report more after a week of real-world (day-to-day) usage.

I'm waiting for the 3500mAh version from Seido, it will likely be pricey but probably will be worth it, work of art is a battery hog.

I can report similar results. Its only had two full charges (seidio says 5-6 before full potential is realized). Off the charger this morning at 530 AM. Now six hours later and I am down to 60%. I have played with the phone non stop.
