Well don't quote me on this, but I know that a wireless connection needs to stay persistent connection, meaning that the wireless radio has to respond to your AP every few minutes to let it know it's still connected. But the 3G radio only has to send those packets when you start requesting a page etc, and this is mainly so Verizon can see who is doing what and how much of it. This keep congestion down on the cell towers.

So in theory the 3G will use less resources than your WiFi, however WiFi will be a lot faster. So give up speed for life, or give up life for performance. On the phones I've had with WiFi I just leave it off until I decide to surf the internet.

my stock battery on day 4 is DRAMATICALLY better than it was on day 1. getting through a full 8-9 hour day now...

mine has been getting better since the first couple days. not as good as i would of liked but its getting much better i will be ordering an extended just to have!

I think these changes in battery level, according to a battery meter, are just the meter reading settling in after running for a few minutes and getting a good average. It's not really the battery dropping x percent without even hardly being used.

That is what I'm thinking too. Not quite sure on the technology that estimates the remaining potential battery output.

I've been using the 1750 for 3 days now and using the hell out of this phone. It's twice as good for me than the stock. I will how ever get the bigger 3500 when it's released because I use google earth for about 3 hrs a day on the road.

So question: I want to order this Seidio battery from Amazon but it's saying:

Usually ships within 2 to 3 weeks.
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.

Does it always say that or are these guys running low on inventory? I want to sign up for Prime and get it next day. I don't want to order it and then find out I won't get it for 3 weeks though...

I ordered my thursday and got it friday before the rush.

Just checked my GF's phone again and its still at 79% after 26 hours of sitting idle, and android operating system is 96% of battery usage.

Good to here the good reviews of the battery just ordered mine this morning it will be nice to have a spare. Roy we don't wear sandals in the winter either we just use snow shoes.
