Got 17hrs of moderate heavy use out of the monster today. The power save kicked in at 30% so I could finish watching Sengoku Basara on Netflix.

I wouldn't call my experience so far "disappointing " just yet. Just a little annoyed by some basic stuff that at the end it will take time to get used to it.

I actually took a photo of my pug using my 4G, and my 3D within 20 seconds of each other. They both did really well, but the 3D had a much higher resolution. I could zoom in and see each little hair on his back, whereas on my 4G, I could not.

This was in bright light conditions. My 4G currently outperforms my 3D in low light.

I'll post a photo comparison when I get home.

I don't know why, but I do notice that when flipping over to the pages with "Agenda", "Bookmarks", or "People" widgets, they take several seconds to load up. It will just say "loading" in the widget, and eventually fills in. Kinda surprised by that considering how much of a processing beast this phone is.

OP, which games specifically are you playing that perform worse on the 3D?

Good one to try is Restaurant Story. It lags horribly across the screen. Homerun battle 3D also when being pitched to and watching the ball leave the yard runs no where near as smooth as my phone.

Needs some tweaks. C'mon root and developers who can improve on near perfection. Otherwise, this thing goes back until root is available.

Sorry, cause YOU don't care about gaming on your smartphone....means the OP shouldn't either.
Ill make damned sure he stops caring about that then.
No ones comparing 3D gaming to 360 or DS....OBVIOUSLY those experiences are better. We're comparing 3D gaming to other smartphone gaming experience. 3D doesn't measure up.
3D camera sucks (not compared to my highend point and shoot)...but compared to IPhone, Samsung
etc...: other smartphone camera's.
That's all fair game comparison.
