Am I the only one who doesn't care about bezels?

So I'm typing this on my Nexus 6P. I love this phone, but the time to upgrade is coming soon. I'm pretty sold on the Pixel XL 2, but as I read the latest news, it seems everyone is talking about bezels rather than features, performance, or expectations. Some are acting as though bezels murdered their family or something - and I'm sitting here perfectly content with my ridiculously large bezels not caring at all. So am I the only one who legitimately doesn't care about bezels in the slightest? I care more about the performance, the storage, the OS updates, the camera, stereo speakers, the battery...you know, the features of the phone. Bezels? Who cares? Not me.

As long as there's a good speaker sitting in the middle of the top and bottom bezels, I don't care. But I'd also rather have wireless charging and a decent-sized battery inside a phone instead of a skinny, shiny metal outside, so you can't go by me.

I care a lot about bezels. I think they're getting ridiculously small. I'd prefer not worrying about accidental touches because someone decided that I don't really need space to hold my phone.

I think we need some sort of reasonably sized bezels. How to prevent accidental touches otherwise? They generally don't bother me.

It doesn't bother me one way or the other. I prefer a bit of bezel actually. On the other hand, with the phones getting taller and taller, less bezel on the bottom helps me reach the notification bar easier...

I don't care either. I think it's funny when some people put looks over performance.

For plenty of people, including myself, it has nothing to do with looks. It has to do with wanting a bigger screen (even if it's elongated) in a smaller form-factor.

I care because large bezels look funny, but this race for no bezels make the phone hard to hold.

My fiance has the S8. After playing w/ it for a while, I care about bezels. Kinda shocked that the Pixel still has em but I do enjoy front facing speaking. Regardless, no headphone jack + no dual camera = wait until Pixel 3

Large bezels look bad and make the phone overly large. They're poor designs at this point. If the phone is going to be small anyway like with the regular Pixel 2 then it isn't that big of a deal, but on large phones, you need to be bezelless

I like small bezels period. Doesn't have to be bezeless but small is good enough for me. Huge bezels are a no no in my eyes.

I don't mind the top & bottom bezels has long if they're not huge but aren't the reports saying that the Pixel XL 2 is going for a bezeless look over the Pixel 2.

No you don't. You just need cleverer engineers/product designers.

No, you need bezel-less designs on large phones. The larger they are, the less bezel they should have. If the Galaxy S8+ had iPhone 7 bezels, it would be a massive phone. Larger phones need to be bezel-less to fit properly in pockets and not be cumbersome to use.

I don't have a problem with the size and proportion of the bezels on my Nexus 5x. I never run my phones bareback and in my opinion the bezel-less designs lose much of their luster with a case. Bezel width seems to matter more to me on televisions and computer monitors.

I care, but not nearly enough to buy the Pixel XL 2 instead. Bezels are low down on my priority list. Seeing as Google is giving us stereo speakers, I'm happy.

Wait for the real deal!

Very hard to judge something not in your hands!

I think it's a good trade off for loss of 3.5mm jack!

As for people mad about not having a intergraded 3.5mm jack there are other options! You can get 3.5mm jacks for USB C adapters!....I'm sure that even Google will have options for you like Apple does for iPhone 7.

Having the squeezable side button technology make it have bigger bezel? ..We know having stereo speakers is not helping the bezel!

I'm upgrading from Microsoft Lumia 950 XL to Google Pixel XL 2 so I'm hoping for similar bezel design.
