Android 11 public beta now available!!

I installed the beta this morning. My bank's app still works, Bank of America app works, Discover Card app works, and Google Pay works.

Unfortunately, this https://forums.androidcentral.com/a...they-keep-breaking-android-auto-new-post.html is still broken...

I've installed it on my daily driver Pixel 3 XL as well. So far no permanent crashing has happened . Of course glitches and hiccups here and there of course, but nothing serious or permanent.

AA works for me in the way that I need it. Give me waze and play my music. I personally hate text to speech but I can understand how others might like it. At least AA is not completely broken like on the 10 beta.

As it turns out, DuoLingo has been down most of the day. It's not an Android 11 problem, but an issue on their end.

Had some Google play system update waiting and requiring to restart. Not sure what was there but it installed.

I had a google play update in the play store which I updated earlier. Said it was for unlocking AR. Didn’t require a reboot.

That's probably June Play system update, you can see that in settings - security.

Anyone else seen a volume drop since installing the beta? I can now barely hear YouTube videos. All the sound settings are at maximum.

I mean I honestly can't tell a difference. But I don't have fine-tuned ears.

I guess it's OK, Eric. Looks like a couple of my content creators lowered their volume on their channel. I loaded some random channels and they are normal, so I guess it's not an issue after all.

Probably sometime in August or September going by last year. Android 10 was released on September 3rd. Given the COVID-19 and way Google is cancelling everything left and right, earliest will be September if I have to guess.

Good looking out. I just downloaded it also. Still says I'm on June 1 update. Wonder what it did.

Well, I'm in the same boat. Downloaded it and flashed it yesterday. I have no idea the improvements or the changelog for it.

Hmm yeah I'm feeling the same the volume is not loud like before.

I did a comparison with my Pixel 3 that is also on the Android 11 beta. Same YouTube videos play much louder, so there is definitely a sound volume program on the 4XL caused by the first beta. If they don't fix in beta 2, this will be a deal breaker for me. I can barely hear the phone. I did file a bug report.
