Android 2.3 Gingerbread EI22 latest build WITH IMAGE

Re: Android 2.3 Gingerbread EF29 latest build

At least you have 4G :( Most of us are paying the 4G "tax" and can barely get solid 3g half the time.

That statement only holds true to a point. Yes the extra $10 bucks a month blows but its not just pointed at 4g. Smartphones in general get the $10 extra add on, because there are 3g only phones on Sprints network that get hit with the extra $10 a month. Remember they base it on smartphones in general using more bandwidth than basic models...

Getting impatient. 4G is such a battery suck.
Install the twilite zone 1.0.4 frozen kernel, with the syndicate frozen 1.2 rom, my battery life is bombay, my girl wont let me hack hers, but the point is, my battery is 2 times better than hers, im doing a little reaserch on the lattest Gingerbread, I dont know how stable it is, but I like messing with stuff, so I think ill take the leap today!

Yeah, I know. I was just being a smart a$$ :-)

Actually though, my wife is not being charged the fee on her Samsung Moment(3g only) so it's only on new phones I assume?

For a while it was only on the Epic and Evo phones (at the time the only 4G capable ones on Sprint) that you had to pay the extra $10/mo data plan. It was later changed that ALL smartphones are to be charged the extra. Users that were not paying the extra fee, won't get hit with it until they switch phones. So if you want to avoid the $10 bump, you'll need to hang on to that Moment as long as possible.

Ten bucks gets you unlimited data. Nuff sed.

looks like the S2 will be out before the update is released.

What a strategy by samsprint. Make people choose between a new phone and update at the same exact time. Losers*
Consumers would be reluctant to purchase the new phone if they could have had the update before hand

I'm not sure if that is Sprint or Samsung's plan. The epic2 is coming very soon. That will be more targeted to current epic users than the GS2 will be. Since the epic2 will have a physical keyboard people with the epic now may lean towards it. Where the GS2 is touted as the next superphone. It will be the target of people wanting the best possible current phone.

I'll definitely be waiting in the background for complaints and concerns before I commit to another samsung device. This force close issue is annoying as hell.

It seems like every time an update is near the stock phones get a little extra buggy

I was thinking the same thing, however i realize my complaint is the strongest in my mind. NOT updating a phone that easily can be is not an option i am looking for when deciding what phone manufacturer to purchase from next time. Samsung has burned me way to much to even consider dealing with this again. The problem is they make a real keyboard and i need that. maybe ill get a tablet and a not-so-smart phone. but again, not a Samsung Tablet.

Yes well Sammy also has the best screen hands down.

True but this industry like many others is a copy cat industry. Others will catch up. I want the nexus 4g but the nexus s 4g has 4g issues that have yet to be addressed. Even tho I hear a fix is coming monday (rumored). I brought this phone the day of before lunch. I'm giving what ever my next device is month to piss others off first.

Re: Android 2.3 Gingerbread EG14 latest build

Wow! Another build... I know it would never happen but it sure would be nice to know what it is that they are still working the bugs out of.. We can only guess the modem/radio but who knows...
