Android Auto

I've tested AA twice now in my 2018 accord with a tech matte brand 6 inch cable. Same setup as with my 2xl. I didn't see exactly where my battery started yesterday on a 35 minute but it seemed to gain just like always. I was navigating and streaming music.
Today I paid better attention. I started at 78% and drove 25 minutes to pick up chinese food and then drove another 5 minutes to my destination. So 30 minutes hooked up to AA. When I arrived my battery was at 94%. I believe this is similar to what I got on my 2xl. Again I was navigating, streaming music and this time spoke on the phone too. And all with a non Google cable. Good news for me.
Here's the bad news. I've hooked up to my AA 6 times in the past 2 days and twice when I've put the car into park, my device disconnected and rebooted. That's a problem.
Anyone else?

Well ive been using the super short cable i got with my Nexus 6P many moons ago and everything works perfectly fine with my Golf 2016. However the charging leaves a lot to be desired, today on my commute i got 12% charge in 1 hour 15 mins...i used to get 30% with my iPhone 7+. And keep in mind this is the Pixel 3(not xl), similar battery size to 7+. Anyway, im happy AA works fine, i have other means to charge.

I can confirm that the P2 does gain 20% to 25% charge on my 30 minute commute home. The P3 however, does not; it may gain at most 5%. I find it hard to believe the P3 takes more power to charge, as the OEM charging bricks and OEM cables are the same for both phones.

That in itself means there is something different in charging implementation; rather than current requirements.

The only thing I can think that will affect charge rate between phones is if one is much fuller than the other

Android auto needs a cable to work except with like .. one version of a head unit.

Kenwood and JVC . You are correct though because Kenwood owns JVC. Each brand I think makes 3 different headunits each that work wirelessly.

Ok not so much AA related but didnt want to start a new thread, yesterday it didnt happen but today my device kept on connecting and disconnecting from Bluetooth Car (Golf 2016). I recall someone else mentioned similar issues, did it stop?

I just drove 20 to 22 minutes using nav, streaming music and making a couple of calls. My battery went from 84 to 95. I'm great with that

I still have that cable too. I've always used it in my wife's car for AA on my 2xl. Haven't tried it yet with my 3xl in her car. I'll have to try it and see
Hmmm ok maybe it's the cable I'm using which is the small one I got with 6P

Got 2 cables that are 6' long that are black that I bought at Verizon.
They wasn't cheap. I wanted good cables.

Used them on Android auto on my 2015 Kia Optima.
Been using it on my 2018 Hyundai Sonata.
Not had a problem whatsoever

Charge my phone when I get up and drink coffee.
Charge my phone when I get in the car.
I'm retired.
Got the Google charging pad, and 2 Samsung charging pads.

Got more to worry about than worrying if my phone is charged.
