Seattle skyscrapers going up.

Whether you're architecturally-inclined yourself or not, it's hard to ignore when something is being put together. From a child's LEGO set to a 50-story skyscraper, watching raw materials go in and a completed object come out is interesting — we want to see the best "build" photos you can take that show off that process.

Two entries will be worthy of prizes this week, and each will take home a ZENS Qi Wireless 4500mAh Power Bank!

Entering is easy. Just drop your entry in a post below. Tell us what Android you used to get the picture, and any back story you want to add to it. We'll pick a winner Tuesday (May 20) night at 11:59 PM ET, and announce them on the blog with next Wednesday's contest.

  • Pictures must be taken with an Android device
  • Pictures must be uploaded to the contest thread. I'm not running all over the Internet to track them down.
  • You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine — this is art.
  • Feel free to add a little back story — we want to know how the picture came to be.
  • You must have used a valid email address to register here at AC, so I know how to contact the winner.
  • Only one entry per week per person.

Good luck, everyone!

Garey and 2nd St in Los Angeles. Until recently it was a gritty and run down area of old warehouses and railroad offices. It is in the middle of a construction boom. This new development replaces an Asbestos coated (literally) factory from the early 1900's.

Taken with Nexus 5, edited for pop in google photo app.

Having to rebuild the motor in my wife's front load washer was no fun, but I wasnt about to spend $250 to have LG come out and replace a $45 part! The teeth on this ended up being stripped out and it was an "easy" fix. Sadly it had died again. Guess LG should have done it? Taken with an HTC One M8 and auto enhanced by Google+

This photo of us was taken inside the massive foundation of a new high-rise in downtown Bellevue, WA. It's 8'-6" thick at this point, and was the largest continuous concrete pour in Washington state: Over 1,000 concrete trucks in about 20 hours! I'm one of the local structural engineers working on the project.

This is a miniature set of the famous drum-dance scene from the tamil movie "CHANDRALEKHA" (1948).
It was a first-of-its kind song in Indian Cinema.
It involved 400 dancers and 6 months of rehearsal.
This was shot at a budget of Rs. 5,00,000 (Today's value is Rs.28 crores) almost 1/6th of the budget of the film.
This film was directed by S.S.Vasan

This is a picture of the current state of the football field at the high school where I teach. The stadium that has been there for nearly a hundred years was torn down at the beginning of this school year (August) and they are now rebuilding a new, better stadium. It's a pretty huge undertaking. Taken with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and left unedited. Also, if anyone knows how to maintain the original file quality while uploading to this thread, please let me know. :(
