The Droid X is the HOTTEST PHONE OF THE YEAR

Here is a list of reasons why I think that the Droid X is the HOTTEST PHONE OF THE YEAR: 4.3" screen that's made for a true widescreen format (16:9) with great pixel density (854 by 480), 3630 omap Texas Instruments processor with 45nm for less battery consumption/best battery life in it's class (1570mah), Motorola's excellent build quality with metal backing and rubber soft touch finish, 8 megapixel camera with 720p recording, 3 speakers for beautiful sound quality for calls and recording, Verizon with it's most reliable coverage, great widget options that are totally customizable and most of all ANDROID the best OS out there today. That is my list of reasons why the Droid X is the HOTTEST PHONE OF THE YEAR!

I have 1st gen. Blackberry Storm, its hell. I just want to get a new phone away from blackberry. I don't like the iphones so that's out of question, So I've been keeping my eye on the new Motorola Droid X because of everything it comes with. This will be my first Android phone YAY!

X "marks the sweet spot".

When you find the sweet spot in life you know it. It doesn't matter if you're swinging a bat, playing an instrument or driving a fine automobile when you find that sensation that feels just right you've hit the sweet spot. The Droid X is the sweet spot of mobile phones. It looks, feels and performs so good, you can't help but enjoy the sweetness. From its large display, fast processor, multimedia goodies and it's quality build you just know you've got something special in your hands. And guess what? It's on the Verizon network which means you're going to be able to make and receive your calls too. Style, power and functionality who could ask for anything more. Just sit back and enjoy that mobile sweetness don't you deserve it? I know I do.

The Droid X is the hottest phone this year because it has that HUGE 4.3" screen and the 854 x 480 resoultion to actually back it up! Not to mention that the 720p camera's quality is nice and clear. Help a broke man who's due for an upgrade out, Android Central!

I like the formfactor and the speed of the entire system. the ui optimization and the resizeable widgets are a big plus. motorola has proven with the droid that they are back in the business and the droid x shows that they can go further.

i'd really love to get my hands on one of these hot devices.

There are many thing one could say about the Droid X that make it an awesome phone. The 4.3 inch screen, the 1GHz processor, the amazing camera, the list goes on. Personally, I like that it gives you a choice of two great soft keyboards right out of the box, the multitouch motorola keyboard, and the swype keyboard. Really makes up for the lack of a hardware QWERTY keyboard. The live wallpaper looks pretty slick too. ;)

Droid X

:cool:This phone is going to be amazing! With a huge screen, 1GHZ Processor, 8 MP Camera, and HDMI port what other phone could possibly be better. You get an open source platform from Google and the nations most reliable network, Verizon. It is 3G mobile hotspot and even allows tethering. This phone is going to be the best phone on the market! Once the Froyo update is available all I can say is one word, FLASH! You couldn't ask for a better device!

There"s only 3 reasons why this is the hottest phone of the year.
1. Its on Verizon. (The best cell phone carrier to date.)
2. Its made by Motorola ( The best builder of ANDROID phones by far.)
3. It Comes with 8GB Of internal, and 16GB of removable memory.( HTC EGO only offered 1GB internal and 8GB removable.)

Need I say moore.

Precisely because it's NOT "for the small of hands"

I'm a big guy. I've been using my BB Curve for several years now, and have been reluctant to jump to a virtual keyboard, because my big ol' mitts just won't work.

Now I finally can.

The Droid X is the phone that's allowing me to get in on that Android goodness I've been reading so much about.

Oh, and in the same way that I'm NOT a preteen girl with tiny fingers, I'm not a hipster that needs to worry about sliding a phone in my hip-hugger jeans.

I also carry a backpack to work every day, which holds books, an old Game Boy SP, my MP3 player, and a digital camera. Suddenly, with this phone, it looks like I'll be able to ditch the backpack!

This is beyond the phone of the year for me!

Can't wait.

Oh - and PS: <cue/admin suckup>I've been a KOL member since 2007 (and I've got the spandex shorts to prove it!)<end/admin suckup>

it's the hottest phone of the year because after having the Storm 1 since release date... this is my jesus phone. 4.3" of sexiness and a 720 recording that I will use to record the obliteration of my Storm.

The Motorola Droid X is the best phone ever because it's large screen allows me to maintain my masculinity and type with both thumbs, instead of poking at it with my index finger like a chick

Why the Droid X is the hottest phone of the summer.

I think the Moto Droid X is the hottest phone of the year because it stands out as more than just another of many Android phones. It has a new interface, it has a fast processor, it has a big screen etc. All of these things can be said of other phones, but when mixed together with the Droid branding, the Verizon network, the Motorola reputation, etc. it makes it a standout phone. It makes the legacy of the Droid something to envy by other handset makers who are lumped into the basic Android brand. Droid X does what the others do, but has all the right combinations to get the job done the best way possible.

Its by far the best phone out there. For those who want a large screen without paying for 4g like the evo this is the best choice. Motorola did a great job with its latest droid.

The DROID X

While the DROID X is not a phone I'm quite ready to shell out $200 for, (I'm considering the DROID Incredible) I think it will be extremely popular for a number of reasons:
#1 awesome marketing
#2 The things that turned me off of the X will be ignored by many. The encrypted bootloader is fairly major for me, but we phone geeks make up a tiny minority. Most people don't even know what a bootloader is.
#3 awesome specs. That giant screen next to a 3.7" or 3.2" screen will look massive. The OMAP3630 can't hurt.
#4 Verizon. Awesome network, lots of users looking to ditch BlackBerries, Treos, and dumbphones.
#5 support. Sites like Phandroid, Android And Me, Droid-Life, Android Guys, DroidDog, and my favorite, Android Central, provide an awesome community and free (and more importantly, competent) technical support.

That being said, while I'm not going to shell out $200 and an upgrade, I'd love to try a free DROID X and I'd be happy to share my expertise with others. Who knows, maybe I'll be generous and give it to XDA or Cyanogen to mess with. Thanks in advance for at least reading my comment.

I want that Driod X

First off, I have to say that I'm a tmobile customer. I've been having to put up with phones like the mytouch slide and the motorola cliq for God knows how long, motorola if you're reading this, or even HTC, send some droid love our way. Ok, back to the topic at hand... the Droid X. Hands down the best phone on any carrier. I've had a chance to mess around with one, the screen is gorgeous, though maybe not as spectacular as the samsung super AMOLED screens, it still looks amazing. Downloading, uploading and multitasking is a breeze, and the battery life is satisfactory, which is saying a lot because of the recent trend of great phones and terrible batteries. Wow, I cant believe I almost forgot to mention the camera, 8 MP (iphone 4, eat your heart out). The camera is amazing, the quality of pictures and videos are breathtaking, and the video playback is just as good. Whats great about the device is that its made by Motorola, they've released several updates before the phone has hit the stores, this means you dont have to worry about any bugs or issues, your phone will be running perfectly. I've been very lucky to have the chance to play around with the droid x before its been released, ppl out there, if you're even considering buying this phone, stop considering and go preorder it, totally worth it.
