Android OS destroying My Data and the S7 Edge

I thought I had the same problem. I averaged only 250MB per month until July 2017. It is only halfway through the month and I am already above 920MB. Whaaaa'?

I read all the forums and tried all the solutions. Using Safe Mode to see if it was a 3rd party app (nope). Restricting background data. Changing internet browser apps.... EVERYTHING!

It finally hit me today what the problem is. Math. Yup, I looked at the numbers and they do not add up. I know I have used 2300MB data, but if you look at the top apps, the usage adds up to 3020MB. And which app was the data hog? Android OS, at 900+ MB. Subtract the Android OS and you come close to my correct usage.

This came to me when I noticed Android OS would use data whenever I texted a pic or looked at a Facebook page.

I have solved my problem. Hopefully this solves yours as well.

Add up all your data by apps and it adds up to more than total data use. Android Os is not using data, it is counting it twice.
