Android System - Battery issues!

When you are in your battery settings click on Android System and there will be a setting to restrict it working in the background, so make sure 'Allow Background Activity' is restricted.
Every time your phone reboots this setting will default to allowing background activity.

I just turned it off when I saw this it has access to the background, but i didnt need to do this the first 3 days I've had it.

This has happened with every Samsung phone I've owned. Usually goes back to normal in a day or two once the system finishes compiling whatever its looking for.

They could be wrong, but as I mentioned above, I have read from numerous posters here that that is not advisable

Yep. Already down to 44%. This time yesterday was about 65%.
I've also had a problem with this. A couple of theories. I used my phone for the first time this weekend with WiFi connected. Which should help battery life. Today is the first day for me at work using cell signals and I'm wondering if it is something that the phones internal brain needs to adjust for. The second thing is that some apps have reared their ugly head according to accubattery (everyone should download this). Like speed test. It was working in the background for 15 minutes before I deleted the thing. Why in the world would it do that? I hadn't used it for a couple days. And I was getting notifications from apps that had no business notifying me. Just sucks up juice and they were deleted. Hopefully things will improve because it's going back before 2 weeks if it doesn't. BTW I wrote here how those battery drain tests were BS. Showing the Note 10 plus ruled the world. It doesn't. It's not even close too the Max.

Yeah I hear ya. I have experienced this before as well. Really frustrating though. I was just saying yesterday that this might be the perfect phone. I should have never said that. LOL

so...48% after 11 hours on battery. 19%Android System...and 8% Screen (1 hour 34 min). This is not good.

This happened to me yesterday too, the first 3 days on the Note 10+ were awesome battery wise and then yesterday just awful, even today ive been up an hour for work and its dropped 11% from doing practically nothing, it seems like once it had stopped learning battery usage patterns then its awful.

Very interesting perspective on the learning being done..then going in the crapper. I think the timing was exactly the same for me. How is your battery today? someone made a great point yesterday, we see this with every phone release...and it gets better once whatever is trying to work through finishes. So I am hopeful LOL

My battery life is heading towards being great again. So, that's awesome. SoT is 1:15 and I'm at 79% and I've been using Bluetooth all morning.

Was you Android System high before? What changes did you make?
Yes, it was the highest. No changes at all. As others have mentioned, it's kind of normal for Android. It's a sad fact of reality. It's a problem one day and the next it's not.

My Android System has been at 11% all 5 tests I have ran. Battery has improved each day so far

So far, nothing has gotten better for me today, but I'm going to try to wait it out until the weekend. If it doesnt improve, I may wipe and start from scratch, and manually install all my apps again.

for me this anecdotal, but it almost seems like my N10+ battery usage changes just after a system update I got over the weekend. (on AT&T)

Cheers,

With 7 hours today heavy use non stop 47% battery left. This battery is awesome in my opinion.

Interesting observation...I am on ATT as well. Others here who have experience on ATT too?

My first 3 days were great! I'm also in AT&T, carrier branded, N10+. My battery yesterday and today have been on par with my Note8 that I traded in, towards this.

Yup...exactly my experience too. I can't remember when the ATT update happened. But there was a number of app and google service updates that happened around day 3 or 4. It must have been an update.

Grain of salt here because I do not have my N10+ yet ... but I am an AT&T user on a N9, and after an update I suddenly had this issue. Android system is draining my battery pretty heavily, even after a lot of adjustments on my end trying to resolve it. Pretty disappointing to hear it may persist with the N10+ and that it may be an AT&T thing. Figures...

EDIT: I am not saying my problem at all coincides with the N10+ release, mine started prior. I do not recall an exact timeframe, but I do remember thinking I bet it was the update that forced itself.
