Awesome! Thanks for the tip, after turning off AT&t service battery life is back to normal!

I dont know what happened, but today was a bit of a lighter day, as I had to take the day off from work. I was home for most of the day, and on my WiFi. This is definitely alot better than last week. I'm hoping its able to stay this way with my new Samsung Galaxy Watch, when I get it next week!

So this is a good sign. I will test with WiFi calling turned back on, over the weekend. But it was off over night while WiFi was left on, and I didn't put the phone into max battery save mode. I also watched a couple of YT videos this morning.

that looks pretty damn good to me!

Good thing I checked this post because I also started noticing that the battery wasn't as great as others were saying. I thought it was the fact that I would get weak reception at work but I decided to follow the steps listed previously. I have an At&t Note 10+ and turned off the At&t Mobile Network Diagnostics option in settings, also decided to put some apps to sleep among other small fixes such as turning off notifications for some of the apps that I don't need a notification for. So far my battery has been excellent! Everyone's use is different of course. I do a lot of streaming and in the morning as you can see in the screenshot, I do stream a TV show which consumes a lot of battery but even with that my battery is great. If I wouldn't stream At&t TV then my battery would be at 65-70% at this time (almost 4 PM Eastern). Here's a link to a guide that helps as well with things you can do to improve your battery life. Hope it helps! https://www.gottabemobile.com/how-to-fix-bad-galaxy-note-10-battery-life/

Yeah me too. If I can average 19h a day before charge, then I'll be okay with that.

And if I can manage 6-7h+ of SoT I can be okay with that too. But the 8h a day battery was worrying me big time!

Yes the article you found is the one I discovered to suggest to people turn off mobile diagnostics. Today my battery life remains excellent and I'm beginning to move widgets back on my screen. I'm looking at about 10 more hours of battery life and Android System usage has dropped significantly. I don't have the SOT that many others have which results in longer battery life.

Back to living the dream!

Yup, kind of impressed with how well the standard Note 10 does, now that we finally got that issue figured out. And this is in performance mode without doing anything to try and save battery.

So far, I have to say, I am very please and once again impressed with my battery life. This is where I stand and just took this screen shot.

Android System hasn't been spiking since this past week, and I'm getting a little more than a day on a full charge.

My next test will be to see how a full work week goes.

can anyone tell me how to completely turn off power mode until I want to use it? every time I choose it in the swipe panel it changes my settings and that makes me nuts. doesn't matter if I choose to go in via the bottom of the area or only attempt to turn it off. same thing. VERY frustrating. thank you.

Seeing the same on my Note10+ now. Currently 34% battery with screen at 13% usage 3 hrs 32min and Android system at the top at 15%

Seems to happen around 55-60% battery. Like, takes a LONG time to go from 100 down to 60% or so, then after that it falls fast.

Been a while since this thread was active...maybe someone has a solution.
I have a pretty-new S10...a few things, naturally, had to be worked out, but everything seemed to fine til this weekend. Like the others said, all of sudden, the Android System was up to a whopping 30% usage..next in line was SCREEN, at around 6%. Something must be going on here. No new apps, nothing has changed. The next day, it was a little better, but yesterday at mid-day it's back up to 20%. Last night, I did the wipe cache partition thing, and this morning (so far, anyway), it seems to be better. Posting here to see if anyone might have found a definitive cure for this.
I just noticed someone commented they turned off AT&T service and that did the trick. I'm on AT&T, and I don't see anything on the apps called AT&T Service. Where do I find it?

UPDATE

Recap - I'm on Samsung Galaxy 10 AT&T - Android System suddenly draining battery. Yesterday, I wiped the cache partition - total battery consumption from Android System was 7%,,,down from 30 the day before. Today, after turning the phone on 8 hours ago, Android System is at at 3%...2 days ago at this time, it was at 20%. So that may have been the cure...at least for me.
BTW...many sites say that to wipe the cache partition, restart the phone by depressing the VOL UP and HOME key together, then press the POWER button. THis is not possible, as there is no HOME key to press. Trial and error got me to push the VOL UP with the BIXBY key (instead of the HOME) and then POWER. Hope this helps others.

Note, this is the Note forum. :)

The setting you're talking about is Connections/Mobile networks/Att Mobile Network Diagnostics. Turn it off.

Thanks for the info.
Yes, I know this is a NOTE forum...when I Googled my problem with the S10 included, this was the top forum that came up. It apparently is not just a NOTE problem. And yes, it did help solve my problem.

Just made an account to thank all of you who said to turn off att diagnostics. Did it and my battery is now not draining anymore on my note 10 plus
