Any Regrets?

I just canceled my pre order and grabbed a Pixel 4XL. My carrier (Rogers) offered me roughly 50% off with financing.

I now pay $99CDN a month for 10GB plus the Pixel 4XL. The Ultra was going to be $152 a month.

Nope, not for sub par cameras.
The Pixel cameras rock, and you can run 90HZ at Max resolution. My friend does on his, and the battery life still lasts a day.

No snapdragon 65 and 12GB of ram though.

I can't wrap my head around this whole obsession with cameras.

As for 5G. That is based on the carrier/network not being ready.

Same here on the cameras. For those cases where I need to snap action photos of my dogs, I use a Nikon D300, D700 or D800 and snap away. The shutter lag on most phones drive me crazy. (Or crazier than I am normally.)

And I agree, 5G is still in infancy. T-mobile probably has the best coverage but on slower speed while Verizon has the fastest but that is very limited. (Or in some cases, a dream.):D

My Ultra arrived today and it is going back. To me, it seems very heavy, not comfortable to hold at all. I have a Note 10+ 5G and was hoping for better battery life, but this is just too heavy. It also seems a bit top heavy and seems unbalanced in my hand. So, back to Samsung. My Note 10+5G is the maximum size and weight that I personally will enjoy. So no iPhone Max 11 Pro in my future either. And if the Note 20 is as heavy as this phone, I am going to have to keep what I have for quite a while.

I also never have any regrets when getting new phones. I miss the spen a little when switching from a note, but that's it.

I decided to return my S20 ultra. It’s not a bad device, but for $1400 I was expecting better 5G performance, better in screen fingerprint scanner, and most of all better cameras. The cameras are the biggest let down for me. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and a Pixel 4 XL and I love the cameras on both. The S20 is not a bad phone at all, but for $1400 those particular shortcomings shouldn’t exist. I just got my return label sent to me, gonna package it up and send it back today.
As far as 5G I don't think anybody should expect anything great from that for a few years. It just sucks we're forced to pay extra for it on a phone that will probably never see decent coverage in it's lifespan.

All these Note 10+ people returning their new phones are hilarious to me.

You just bought the best Samsung has to offer literally 6 months ago. Did you really fall for Samsung's marketing that badly that you couldn't pass up the Ultra?

It's not like Samsung was going to make that much technical advancement in 6 months? 😂

Great choice, I love my pixel 4 XL. The photo quality is like none other. The galaxy s20 ultra was a nice phone, but for $1400 I just didn’t see any benefit in the gimmicks Samsung is trying to pass off as features.

For me, it wasn't that I thought the phone would be that much better. It was really the $700 trade-in and $200 credit that got me to at least try and see how I like it. Worst case scenario just return the phone. The ultra feels so much better in the hand to me vs the note 10.

Honestly, I really thought with a new sensor Samsung would have improved image quality

Reading all these comments, I'm glad I'm passing the S20 Ultra and sticking with my Note 9. For me it was about the zoom but I realised that even that was a bit overblown as the actual optical zoom is just 4x. As I said before, it's still very good up to about 10x and good up to 30x. If Sammy matches Huawei with 10x optical next year, I'm definately in. I wouldn't care how large or thick or heavy it is.

It was launched by samsung as its main feature so perhaps that's why ? 1500 for a phone if the camera isn't up to what it was touted as is a sour subject for people shelling out this much keeping the camera improvements in mind. I havent gotten mine yet. I really hope I get it tomorrow. I got the s20 ultra for the camera because on paper the specs were better than my iphone 11PM and my note 10+ . You know bigger sensor, game changing optics etc etc. I'll be the judge of that I guess when it does come in.

I got the Pink S20 and will trade my Note 10+ . The camera is good. I like the size and the color. My Note 10+ is an AT&T phone and my S20 is unlocked so if i run into problems with my carrier there may be some regret. But otherwise I'm liking it a lot so far.

No regerts :) After trading in the Note 10+ my payments are actually 2 bucks a month less. (yes both are 2 year plans), plus I got the 235.00 credit to spend sometime. Some people don't like the cam. I played with it today I didn't see any focus issues. And i love the optical zoom. That was one of the selling points for me. I don't really see the benefit of 120Hz for everyday use, but I can see it for watching media or gaming maybe. And its really not much bigger than the note. A little thicker because of the camera bump (my case actually protects the camera bump, none of it is sticking out) I have the same model case on the note 10 plus. The note is 9.03 oz and the ultra is 9.84 oz o not much of a difference there. I will give it due diligence though putting it through its paces and wait a week before I send the Note in.

No regrets here either from what I've seen so far. I also haven't noticed any drop in battery life from what I'm used to on the Note 10+ and I'm running 120 hz.

Absolutely loving the Ultra. Charged to 100% out of the box, swapped my sim for the first time, rocking my schnail aurora glow case (have a spigen coming tomorrow), setting up my accounts and home screen and all that good stuff now. Screen is beautiful and battery is awesome. Good stuff.

I wouldn't say that. We are just a small group that purchased the phone. The average consumer isn't making most of the complaints as in this forum except for maybe the price which is too got dang high lol.
How are you liking the phone? Everyone else hates it.
