anybody jumping to the new note 8?

I think I'm going to try that.... Any tips before I do? Thanks
If you can get into recovery, clearing the system cache has fixed my battery issues a couple times. So you may not need to go full nuclear on it with a reset.

you make that sounds like it's a tricky procedure? lol
If you're on Verizon version, no. So far, that's the only, and I mean literally ONLY version I've seen that has that ability. If I'm not mistaken, I was the one that found the way in to the Verizon version when everyone was asking about it in general. That method was never reported to work on other versions, nor did I see anyone report success with other methods.

So yes, it's a big IF.

I'm going with the Note 8 but not trading in my V20. I will hand it over to my son to replace his iPhone 5s.

I was a LG convert after the Note 7 fiasco. The V20 has been good to me but I've been waiting to go back to a Note.

After seeing how little of a deal this Note 7 to 8 offer really is for a lot of people, my wife's included, I'm just going to say I'm really appreciating my V20 more and more.

I plan to get the Note 8. I think I will wait until December to pick it up off of Swappa like I did the V20. The price is too high for the Note 8 at the moment. I could get it through my carrier, Sprint, for $20 a month, but I want t wait and see if the phone will be worth it. I am really concerned about what the battery life will be like.

I may be switching carriers in the next month or so, if I do, I'll be getting a Note 8.

I'm with Verizon and I still owe about 400 on my V20. I want the V30. what I will probably do is pay off the V20 with my credit card then trade in my V20 to get the note 8. I can get around 360 for the trade in. I'll then get the note 8 on the payment plan (around $6 something) but sell it on Swappa. I'll use that to pay off the remainder of the note 8 and what is left will go back to my credit card. then I'll be completely clear to get the V30 and do it all over again next year.

I know that sounds like a lot of work, but the resale value in the V20 isn't very high.

Verizon isn't even including it with the 50% off on the note 8 deal.

You can't sell the note on Swappa until after it is paid off can you?

How do you know you can trade it in for 360

I'm on Tmo and even though 600mhz (Band 71) is just starting to roll-out, I'm not interested in the Note 8 because it doesn't support it. The V30 is unconfirmed. At any rate, I'll keep my V20 until phones with B17 support start to hit the market. Then I'll see what is out there.

I’ve been tempted to trade in my G4 for the 300 bucks off and also get all the pre order goodies then sell it for a positive.

So all this boils down to is that The Note 8 is extremely useful to leverage towards the phone you really want.
