Anyone else order a Z3C from Sony USA site?

I cancelled mine from the Sony store after reports that the next wave wouldn't ship until Wednesday or later. Put an order in with B&H and it should ship today. Saved a few bucks too.

I applied for the Sony Rewards card to get $100 off the total price, including the student discount. What I don't understand is why Sony is charging tax in NJ when they don't have a retail store in my state?

That's a good find on B&H. Too late for me but I would have only saved $12. If the price ever drops below $477 in the next 30 days (even with an authorized reseller) Sony will price match it. Would be gravy if it does!

Edit: Fine print says phones do not qualify for price matching. Bummer.

Yes. I just did a sales chat with B&H and it IS the US model and they are an authorized sony retailer. I called Sony about my order and got the run around about another batch coming on Nov. 5. This after I called over the weekend and was told it would ship out today. Pissed as I placed my order on October 13th at around noon and I think that was the very first day available to order them.

Update: chatted with another sales rep at B&H and he wasn't sure if it was the USA version so he was going to research it and email me. I went ahead and placed an order with B&H as it ends up being a lot cheaper for me since they don't charge sales tax and the phone price is cheaper.

FedEx tracking shows it has been picked up at Romeoville, IL. An indirect signature is required.

BTW I ordered the white model.

Just curious...what time on the 13th did you place your order. I was checking all day and ordered as soon as I saw it available to order and still didn't get in on this first shipment. Either I wasn't as fast as I thought I was or the first shipment had a shockingly small quantity.

Also, just had another chat with customer service at B&H and this guy immediately said it was the US variant with a Sony US warranty. He immediately knew. So that's two our of three reps who knew right away and the third one wasn't sure so has to research it. I'm pretty confident this is the US model they are selling.

Yeah I was under the impression that they had in Stock devices but they also say "pre order" .

Let us know what happens with that order. Fingers crossed for you that they did have it in stock. The only one that shows in stock on B&H is the orange one. All colors on Sony's site now say backorder with "ship date unknown". Used to say ships in 1-2 days. Chatted with sony and the guy said they have no idea when they will be back in stock.

Good find on B&H selling it for cheaper. I applied for the Sony card $100 off promo, so even with tax, my total will be $460ish, so still cheaper.

And yes, my order changed from Processing to Backordered, too.

Oh hey, anyone here ever heard or Techno Trading House? They seem to have good reviews from my quick googling. They have the Z3c (US model) for $485 with free shipping. Black and white show in stock, orange and green show backordered.
